Re Haydar, you should be grateful, rubbish player yeah you are right, I believe he is past it. looks like we have a very thin squad at the moment. only players that stayed from the previous season is paric, bilic, Sherlock, mileski, pani, stava, kofinas, and I got no idea about the rest.

Parramatta assembling a decent squad, could perhaps finish in the top half next season and claim some scalps.

Many changes this season. Hakoah spending up. Sutho may surprise at times. Apart from that usual suspects. PL2 a mosh pit - what a mix plus the newbie hal squads. PL3 will be competitive as well.

Thanks mate, I had heard Jones was signed, the Lucas signing was around a while ago as we know but nothing confirmed since. All else I've heard is they have a few bucks to spend.

Not sure that they'll be spending a lot on players. I know they want to ensure they don't get relegated. They will be spending a lot of money (~$45 million) on White City. It's going to be one of the best facilities in the NPL.

It should be on the Woollahra council website. The plans are there.. looks amazing. Swimming pool, pitch, ground stand, gym, child car centre, indoor courts, tennis courts and an underground car park. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/newslocal/city-east/new-plans-for-historic-white-city-tennis-courts-set-to-be-bulldozed-and-replaced-with-sports-facilities/story-fngr8h22-1227518918250Edited by theFOOTBALLlover: 10/12/2015 10:29:17 PM

Been to it once, isn't a NSW NPL 1 venue in all honesty..... When we were coming up we had to entirely put seats under our grand stand, create also open seating and create footpaths around the ground ffs. Pretty sure the minimum amount of seats was 800-1000 IIRC needed for NSWPL criteria

Hensley ticks most, if not all of the current boxes. The previous requirements were for 1000 undercover seats, FNSW dropped it considerably to accommodate the promotion of clubs with good football structures but less infrastructure.
Which is little consolation to Clubs like Bonno and Rockdale that spent 100's of 000;s to comply. in saying that, there are other criteria that doesnt comply at some clubs, like all clubs are meant to have 12 cover seats as the subs bench, and Olympics sandwich board scoreboard.

You have good reason pointing out Bonno/Rockdale having to dish out more at the time, this is partly the problem trying to enchance the leagues/lift lower clubs standards etcetc - rules change far to often at one level and not enough in others but the only way to try growing NPL1/2 3 and lower is the changing rules to suit the need. Hard done by for Bonno/Rockdale and I understand - look at the $$$ Hakoah are looking to dish their way with some healthy contributions I'm sure. Here's another example, Northbridge now in NPL2 (and congrats) they have NO seating at their ground. Well if you count the those minor under cover seats front edge of the clubhouse overlooking the pitch but there sure is a relaxing of the current rule/or a confirmed intent by the club to FNSW I expect on constructing something for it will be crap when the rain arrives watching games. For all the talk that they would be spending up big, etc. They've signed 1 seasoned 1st grader in Stamatellis. they've either got a lot going behind the scenes, or theres a lot of marketing hype around them.
I'm told Lucas Neill was never a real option, it was just something they put out to the papers to help ensure their promotion. At the time, FNSW were fighting with Clubs on a restructure of the leagues, Marconi had been given marching orders, and Hakoah wanted to make sure that the powers at FNSW new they were serious, and wouldn't buckle under the pressure of relegating a Club like Marconi.
