RIP Midge Farrelly, and talking about Long Boards/Mals with our recently Knighted Draupingston one of the pioneers of maneuvering those huge planks as we called them Midget was our 1st Official Surf Champion - was a top surfer back then only to be shadowed by a younger charging Nat Young but Midget was a Legend as they say nowadays. RIP mate !

My father in law who passed away last Wednesday out of nowhere.
So amazed by the amount of respect he had on the coast - every competition held a one minute silence on the half way circle, black arm bands etc.
Then at the funeral today over half the attendees rocked up in Mariners gear, spotted about 6 refs and club colours from across the coast. Such a beautiful sight I know he would be proud of.

Michael Leader, the actor who played the milkman in EastEnders since the soap began in 1985, and who was known to movie fans around the world as the stormtrooper who bangs his head in the original Star Wars, has died. Leader passed away on Monday with the EastEnders cast and crew saying they were "terribly saddened" to hear of their much-loved colleague's passing. RTE
One of the only good touches in the re-release was when they actually added a sound for the bump as a nod to it's fame with the fans, a rare case of Lucas not being up his own arse:
Immortalised in cinema history.

My favourite line in the movie. I still quote it to this day when I jokingly want people to leave :) Rest in Peace, Mr Wilder
