Yeah, falsely claiming their own government killed them isn't pathetic or insulting at all. What are you talking about Afro? FWIW I don't believe there's a conspiracy. Questioning a government is perhaps the most important thing that a first world democratic country can do. The US has lied to its citizens before for its own gain, like that girl who made a speech at the UN back in the early 90s crying about Iraqi soldiers taking babies out of incubators that helped garner support for the first gulf war. That girl turned out to be an actor. Then there was the sinking of two boats that were blamed on the Vietcong that helped garner support for the Vietnam war, and that was a lie. Then there was Donald Rumsfeld claiming weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and we all know how that ended. If someone protested against the bush administration's bold face lie to the people of America, would that shit on the memories of all the men and women who died in Iraq? Is it completely ridiculous to think there is a possibility that the government lied to its citizens about 9/11? Again, I don't think there is a conspiracy, but people have a right to question without feeling guilty about it.

There's a difference between questioning your government and making false accusations citing questionable sources and ambiguous evidence.

There are some stupid fucks out there, that's true. Like the guys who think the buildings were taken down by some laser shock wave technology, or the guys that think the media were in on it and added the footage of planes hitting the buildings later, when in fact it was a missile all along.  True tin foil hat stuff. But, still there are some aspects that have me scratching my head, like the supposed trajectory taken by the plane that hit the pentagon and how that was performed by an amateur pilot. I would like to know if there are any guys out there who are in aviation that can explain that for me as I genuinely know little about aviation.

But does that explain how the whole building gave way and fell at almost free fall speed? Sure I can understand the half of the building that was hit giving way and collapsing but for the structural beams on the other side of the building to also give way at the same time.
I guess it's pretty easy to make a conspiracy out of it when you don't dig to deep.

Yes they do. I highly doubt the pentagon walls are built to the same standard as a nuclear reactor. And you cant compare what happens to a small light fighter jet to that of a 757. Plus the 757 would not have been traveling at that speed.

The pentagon's outer walls were redesigned to be blast resistant after the Oklahoma bombings in 1995. And a plane's wings are designed to break off and/or disintegrate when they hit something so that in the event of a crash the plane doesn't hit something and get flipped and do more damage. That's why the Pentagon attack was so different to what people expect.

No they're not that's why there's a giant fucking hole in the side of the pentagon. The 757 was 78% aluminium. Aluminium, even at 300km/hr will pretty much atomise if it ploughs into a steel and reinforced concrete building. (A building well over engineered due to the nature of the work that goes on there.) There are countless photos of plane parts littering the lawn and inside the actual pentagon itself. You blokes have got to be kidding. First you say a plane won't disintegrate on impact and then when I show you one that does you say that doesn't count. Do some basic research.

I'm willing to bet you a dollar that up until 3 minutes ago you had no idea that a plane could atomise into nothing but dust. Then, when confronted with just that, you had to furiously mumble something about it not being the same. Do some reading of some other sites besides your troofer ones and apply a bit of Occam's Razor to the various stories being put forward.

You are correct Afro. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Airlines_Flight_77I know it's wikipedia and all but I was looking for the impact speed to see at what speed it actually hit and blow me down with a feather. They estimate it hit the Pentagon, after the throttles were jammed on full at, wait for it, 530 mph. Near as damn it to the plane's speed in the video above. Also it took out a bunch of lamposts (of which there are photos) and a generator. Not a bad effort for a "missile". There are also a host of eyewitness accounts from folk on the ground that saw the plane fly overhead and plow into the building. Mind you they could all be government stooges. Yeah, because a missile would totally not explode when it hit the lamp posts and just continue on into the building

Excellent statement by Ecumenical Patriarch, Bartholomew of Constantinople, decrying the violence against women in Northern Africa: Quote: We are horrified that, in the early twenty-first century, our world still experiences such horrific and disgraceful acts of religious violence. As we have repeatedly emphasized, every form of violence in the name of religion is violence against religion itself. What is happening in Nigeria and Sudan is a dual act of wrongdoing: first and foremost, it is a disgrace against humanity, which we believe and proclaim is created in the image and likeness of God; and second, it is a defamation of the God, whom the great religions of the world worship as divine creator of all life.
In Northern Africa, both believers of Islam and Christianity are obliged to promote a God of love and compassion. And the political authorities are responsible for protecting their citizens, especially the more vulnerable members of their societies. Such acts are unacceptable from the perspective of religion and morality, as well as by standards of international human rights. http://www.patriarchate.org/documents/statement-religious-violence-north-africa

Egyptian lunatic wants to demolish 1,500 year old UNESCO site Quote:Ex-Egypt general wants UNESCO site demolished Citing the supposed threat posed to national security, a retired Egyptian army general has filed a legal case in his efforts to see UNESCO-listed heritage site St. Catherine’s Monastery demolished, Ahram News website reported Sunday. Ahmed Ragai Attiya claimed the monastery, in south Sinai, was not historic but built in 2006, adding that the area had become a haven for “foreigners.” Attiya also urged for the deportation of the monastery’s Greek monks as he claimed they jeopardizing Egypt’s national security. The monastery’s lawyer, Ihab Ramzy, said that in May 2012 Attiya obtained 71 administrative orders to demolish the historic site’s multiple churches, monk living quarters, gardens and other places of interest in the grounds. Attiya, who founded the Egyptian army’s special operations unit in 1978, said in an interview with private channel ONTV on Thursday that he had recently reinitiated his efforts to destroy the monastery. The 76-year-old former general said he used the 71 orders to officially file a suit against the monastery and 10 other Egyptian related authorities, including the president, ministers of tourism and antiquities and the governor of the southern Sinai region. He said he filed the legal case in the northeastern city of Ismailiya’s administrative court. He alleged that the monks have changed the names of landmarks in the surrounding area and tried to hide an underground water source known as Moses’ Well, or Oyun Moussa, in Arabic. He expressed agitation over the monastery’s raising of the Greek flag and foreigners occupying Egyptian land, which he described as a breach of national security and the country’s sovereignty. Since Attiya needs to provide evidence for his allegations, the court has referred the case to a panel of experts to decide whether or not the monastery is historic and if Moses’ Well lies beneath the site. The case has been postponed until June 2014, pending the findings of the panel. Ramzy, meanwhile, rejected Attiya’s claims in an interview with Ahram Online. He said Egypt’s authorities have long treated the monastery as a historic site, adding that the abbot and monks were not even authorized to paint a wall without permission from Egypt’s antiquities ministry. He described the personnel on site as guards to protect the monastery. He added: “[It’s] one of the oldest, continuously inhabited, Christian monasteries, with a history that can be traced back over 17 centuries, and is under the supervision of Egypt’s antiquities ministry and UNESCO.” http://english.alarabiya.net/en/life-style/2014/04/14/Ex-Egypt-army-general-wants-UNESCO-monastery-demolished.html Edited by polemides: 21/5/2014 05:57:56 PM
