Been to a few VPL matches this season and I might as well have gone to a cemetery with the lack of atmosphere at these matches. It seems the supporters present go there for a social outing and not to support their team. There's no cheering, clapping, chanting or passionate support for their teams anymore. This sort of thing was all part and parcel of the game in days gone by, something so sadly missing in today's game. Maybe supporters are frightened of saying something that will get their clubs into trouble with the FFV, so don't bother any more. It seems the FFV have got what they wanted; Take the passion out of the game.

whats south like these days? arnt the CC still active?

A lot quieter than they used to be - but that might be because they haven't had too much to sing about since we went back to Lakeside.

After 10 years, CC have taken a step back when it comes to chanting, banners etc. There's still chanting and abuse most games though.

Its a result of collective abuse by the FFA and the FFV. It is utterly appauling.

It may also be the fact of a winter season clashing with ALF and NRL

It gets worse and worse every year. I think people are mindful that the ffv are looking for any excuse to throw the book at clubs and this has led to a watered down atmosphere at games.

CC basically called it quits last season, a few chant but not much now. The league in general has been at a crossroards for a while now as everyone waits to see what goes down with the npl.
