I missed the deadline to change my team on the weekend (GW17) and still had Aguero and Zabaleta play... significantly I missed the chance to cash in on Suarez as captain... that's when I fell to second (from top 20 in Aus to 145th have since recovered to around 75th place).

Loving the challenge and aside from a mate I play with at my Club this league is my most competitive.

Been a great season so far but it's a long season and now almost 65% of the league having to sell Ramsay will shake things up...

Poor Captain's choice with Aguero but to still manage 72 is very pleasing thanks largely to Coleman, Zabaleta, Ozil and Ramsay.

I made two transfers (copping the 4pts) to bring in Barkley (didn't play) and Walcott (off the bench last few minutes but at least got an assist) but given Lalana and Townsend (who I replaced - I had cash in the bank) did very little I kind of got away with it... assuming Theo starts some matches from here on...

I was thinking Giroud had been poor of late and thought Remy would be a good replacement. After three minutes into the 2am fixtures I was giving myself an honorary BJ - very proud of myself - then Giroud gets a gift from Boruc and converts a late (soft) penalty to make me look stupid...

Except that statement is flawed because it's just as likely that people who have abandoned their team and scored poorly are balanced out by people who have abandoned their team and scored well.

Except there should be just as many people who are scoring less than me and moving below me. Y'know, because of the average score.
