All I care about is H2H

Kinda missed the boat on that. I used to do Play The Game through The Times website which was hands down the best fantasy football game ever. Unique scoring, transfers etc...

I want to see a fantasy where they base it around the american football premise of each player being unique to the league, so once someone had say RVP he's theirs and that's it. So you pick your 11 and then you've got to trade or go to free agents if you want to change up your team.

I remember I did that with NRL a while ago. It was awesome!

That's what play the game was like.

There was a draft and you ranked each player in the league and the computer spits out a team based on your rankings. There were 10 catergories of scoring (5 mid/att / 5 def) they were 5 mid att: Successful passes, goals, assists, game minutes and team points (ie if the team they play for won or drew) 5 def catergories were game minutes, clean sheets, defensive stats (ie tackles, blocks etc), Goals/Assist as a combine category and team points. It sounds complicated but it was easy to pick up and it was so engrossing. You could select your team right up until kick-off (so you could make sure you have people who played) and you could trade for uncontracted players by releasing someone from your squad or trade (multi trade also - ie 2 players for 1) with other players in the game... I spent way too much time playing that game but man it was awesome!

I do vaguely remember that. It hasn't been around for years.

I played one a few seasons back that wasn't just EPL but the top 5 leagues across Europe (Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue Un and EPL).

FFS H2H just isn't for me, about to be 0 and 2 despite being in the top ten for the classic league. :(

Another H2H win thanks mainly to Cech, Ivanovic, Jagielka and Baines all getting a CS and Giroud with a goal. Also helped with the guy I was up against having RvP as his captain.

Left Cech and Terry out of my team this week, still got 60 though so can't complain.

Protip: Points hardly matter at this stage of the season. All about increasing the value of your team for the long term at this point.

Tell that to everyone who used their wildcard after week one! [not me]

I used my wildcard after week 1 and just bought all of the players about to go up in price.
Best way to increase your squad value is at the start when the most transfers are being made.

At this stage of the season player prices are so fickle any way. Podolski dropped to 8.4 last week. He'll go up to 8.6 or 8.7 after bagging 2 goals this week.

Looks like a low scoring weekend.

I swapped out Ivanovic for Jagielka this week but forgot to press confirm. So of course Jagielka goes and gets a fucking 7.

Had was choosing between Kasami and Redmond. Went with Kasami so I could get any late signings in next week. Redmond scores, Kasami doesn't play at all after playing full games before this

Decent score considering the average. Defense held up, 3 clean sheets. No goals scored but.

39 points with 4 players to go. Happy with that.

Nathan Redmond carrying my team, only on 21 with 6 players to go though.

No Benteke and Weimann this week is killing me

Dropped Benteke and brought in Yaya = Profit.

61 with Colback (6) on the pine. I swear if I can get my captains sorted I'd be in an even stronger position.

Dropping Ivanovic and Welbeck for Aguero and Collins (I had 1.5 in the bank) was possibly a rash decision but time will tell. With some of the names potentially linked to the EPL gameweek 4 could just be the week that shit got serious!

:lol: somehow won my H2H even with Hazard, Benteke and Weimann not playing. Most thanks to auto subs which meant I had Jagielka and Garrido come in which meant my back 3 picked up 21 of my 44 pts.

Giroud, Walcott and jenkinson saved my bacon in fantasy. So conflicted :lol:

Wonder how much Ozil will be. Guessing 10.
