Quote:I'm pretty sure Man City's goal difference shit's over ours... Peter Crouch always has a goal in him, he just does it, a real poacher although sometimes abit awkwardly, whereas N'gog just looks awkward and unassuring... personally i'd be going for Roy Hodgson for what he's done at Fulham and his massive amount of experience, Martin O'Neil wouldn't be bad either... i can't see Jose turning up with the owners and Jose's past with overbearing owners, is there anybody on the continent that could be a possibility as a decent option? Peter Crouch did look awkward and gives away a lot of fouls for arms over the shoulder, but really he scores some great goals and although he doesn't have the best record, when the game is starting to open up like it did today and we're playing long ball late on, he's the man that you want to get his head on the end of the cross. We could have created half a dozen more chances if he was there to finish those crosses. Re: City's GD, it's +24, spurs are +26 and we're +21. Theirs will come down when the play United, Chelsea and Arsenal hopefully. As for replacing rafa, I'd rather Martin O'Neil than Hodgson, I really think Fulham struggled in europe and Roy doens't have what it takes to make it in the next level. O'Neil is just waiting for his chance. I can't see Jose coming when he's still got 3 years left on his Inter contract and it would be a clash of the egos with the owners. Quote:Disagree. The squad is better now than it was when Rafa took charge. The League table says otherwise, we're worse of positionally and while we could potentially have 9 more points than 5 years ago, we've spent over a hundred million pount to get there. 12 million pounds per EPL point is a hefty investment if you ask me. Quote: Has Hiddink signed with anyone for next season? He has a history of pissing off his players, coached chelsea and isn't the master tactician we need. His tactical approach of 'throw on another striker and see what happens' isn't going to cut it when we've only got three or four strikers in our whole squad anyway.

How the hell can rafa take positives out of that game? Torres was far from exuahsted. When he's exhausted he willingly goes off. He shook his head and stamped his feet, when he saw his number come up he was surprised, he clearly wanted to stay on.
Waiting on a press conference to say Rafa's sacked, but I know that's not going to come.

why am i getting a really sickly feeling that Rafa won't get the sack to save on cash... or potentially worse go and hire Jurgen Klinsman or somebody that really isn't up to it... does Martin O'Neil want to leave Villa, i know the rumours went around the other day, but surely he must be rather comfortable there?
your right on the grounds of Hiddink, he's brilliant in tournament mode really and one off fixtures but we're not after that, that's what we've had for the greater part for Benitez... we need somebody with their priorities and attitude in check

He said that he hasn't got any desire to leave just yet. But would if the offer arose. Rafa sacked is going to work out cheaper in the long run than if we continue to miss out on champions league football and play like we did tonight with him at the helm. Is there a picture of Gerrard facepalming at Torres' substitution? That summed up the sentiment of EVERY SINGLE LIVERPOOL FAN ON EARTH.

there's a lack of options in management this summer for alot of teams unless we wait post world cup... but even then i don't know who.... probably go for somebody rather inept to what we need, english football, and transfers

Joachim Low's contract with Germany is ending and we can approach him now, even if he can't take over until July 13th at the latest. Hell, right now I'd take a gamble trying to get Kenny Dalglish out of retirement to take the reigns for the rest of the season. Chris Kamara's almost as hopeless a commentator as David Bashir. But at least he's funny about it

BENDTNER!!!!!!
1-0 to the arsenal great play by Walcott could have held it a touch longer bere playing nicklas in by bendtner did brilliantly to pick himself up and pit the 2nd chance in. ](*,) Messi makes it 1-1 with a cracker of a shot from the edge of the box
Good game so far. Not happy with the goal we conceded but we aren't giving barca as much time on the ball as last week and is shown by the smaller number of chances they have had.

Why the f*ck did Silvestre start, his positioning is woeful and his right foot is non existent. I'd rather Bendtner at centre-back.

Silvestre started because there is no other cb to play.
Also this isn't an excuse for us losing but this ref has been fucking woeful. Some of the freelicks he's given against arsenal have been pathetic. That yellow card against denilson was pathetic and David basheer should be shot he is so fucking bias towards Barcelona it's almost sickening.

Refereeing has been woeful, seems like Bendtner is allowed to be anally violated everytime he gets in front to win the ball, but if he puts some pressure on his opponent the whistle blows. Messi seemed to perk up pretty quick once he saw Denilson get yellow, while Rosicky & Nasri were on the recieving end of exactly similar challenges and no free kick given, what a wank.

Also forgot to mention the bullshit offside call against bendtner when he was clear through on goal when he was clearly in line with abidal.

Ohwell can't begrudge Barcelona that win messi was brilliant. Just dissapointing when it all come downs to mistakes in the defensive line. Went in with hope in this game but there was always a feeling this could happen. Now we get to focus on the premier league and the scum on the weekend.
Now just hope Bayern can beat man utd
