Nice from Torres... should've buried it at the second attempt.

I almost feel sorry for him after that. Did so well to get past De Gea, but just

It's like all the players made a bet for the game to finish 3-1, this is ridiculous

Fuck me, I've just seen it. What an absolutely stupendous miss. Miss of the century in the top flight of English football. Up there all-time.

The majority if the end of season blooper real will feature that half
Torres was looking deadly once he got some confidence from that goal, here's hoping that monumental fuck up crushes it again

Horrific miss, especially as his early goal seemed to have rediscovered the Torres of old. HE could have walked it in to the net from there not sure what he was trying to do.

That was a pretty horrendous miss by Torres. Felt so bad for him after watching his reaction. But he did score with a pretty sweet finish.
Ah well, was a fucked up day of results anyway.

United beating Chelsea was probably expected, Spurs over Liverpool isn't that big a surprise (the scoreline was though I guess) only City slipping up was an upset. Over the whole round though, it was a good weekend for the bottom half.

A winless Sunderland thrashing an in form Stoke team sitting 4th in the league is also an outstanding result for Sunderland. Quite a surprising day in the prem. Yeah Torres. Superstar. He's a great player, don't bag the bloke. At least he scored a goal.

I feel sorry for Torres, I really do. He plays the best half he ever has for Chelsea and no one will remember that.

Well, hopefully for Torres, that half (aside from the miss) is a sign of good things ahead for him. Who knows though. Also interesting to note overnight that Aquilani scored for Milan in their loss to Napoli. He's been super in his first couple matches for them. Edited by Heartinator: 19/9/2011 12:11:46 PM

If Torres can continue on now like he was in that 2nd half he'll be fine.

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Sense?
There is no doubting how he played. But not being able to stop laughing over the miss is normal. His goal was world class his miss was, I can't think of the words for it.
Maybe Diego Forlan like....

Finally someone talks some sense Torres was brilliant in the second half for sure and that was definitely a confidence thing after finally scoring but you have to wonder how much that miss is going to set him back confidence wise
