Handball in the 72' by Shandong Luneng in the goal square cost them a penalty which Endo comfortably slotted in for the second goal to Gamba Osaka.

Sasaki subbed on for Yasuda, gets the ball outside the square and launches a long shot. GOAL!

Not Good, Great. Look at the bigger picture, Benitez doesn't need to win the Champions League to stay in his job. Liverpool don't have an itchy trigger finger like Chelsea when it comes managers.

Yep. Out of the Greek Cup, Champions League and 9 points behind us on the Super League table with 5 games left, it's looking like ANOTHER trophy-less year for the Greens.

Good wasn't the greatest word to use in hindsight haha. While it's true Liverpool aren't like Chelsea when it comes to managers, Liverpool have a long and proud history and success is expected. Benitez might not need to win the CL to stay in the job (only time will tell) but if they do, it should sure him up for a couple more years. If they can grab the title off United, well, he could be there for a longer stay.


PS: I've only recently decided to support Liverpool as my English club so I'm just starting to catch up on all the history I've missed!
