My stream was perfect for the whole game up until the 4th penalty, quickly could get onto some jap stream so only missed 2 penalties.

I have seen many shootouts, hundreds where people have shit themselves.

In his 25 mins or so on the pitch Jordan Henderson completed 6 passes, made 1 tackle and won 1 aerial duel. That's it. Exactly what is he meant to provide again?

Every penalty I have seen Cole take, he goes right, keepers left. Surely he knows Buffon knows that. I know it's easy from here but Buffon was always going that way, just roll it in the other side, Buffon had his mind made up.

In the same vein, I've seen every pen that Gerrard takes in the bottom left corner - keeper's right. He still managed to slot his.

True but Gerrard is Gerrard, he can put it within a few inches of where he wants, Cole is happy to get in within a metre of where he wants probably.

The best was Ruud for United, I think he hit 20 successful penalties in a row to the bottom left, the keepers went there pretty much every time also. And I have seen Gerrard hit penalties everywhere.

Wow, what a cracker of a match. Great to see Portugal come out and look assertive, they are really putting Spain to the test.

HT 0-0. Great half of football. Finding this the match of the tournament so far - Portugal pressing Spain, unsettling them a bit. The game is still in the balance imo.

Absolutely brilliant effort from the Portuguese. Pepe and Alves are completely dominant in the air and the middle 3 are pressing, winning the ball back. Meireles and Veloso doing very well, Moutinho isn't getting much time on the ball in attacking areas.

Don't like what I'm seeing in the back end of the first half - Ref loosing a bit of control it seems, or at least coming under pressure from both teams. Arbeloa is a very lucky boy - 4 or 5 fouls and no yellows. Ramos picked up a yellow for blocking a countering Ronaldo and Coeantrao picked up a late yellow for something off the ball.

Seems as though the crowd is getting tired of Spain's slower-tempo passing at the back - very loud jeers and boo's from the crowd when they do so.
