imnofreak wrote:Absolutely no excuse for that. Should be a 3-2 win. Wasn't even close to being offside. Not by a mile. Fuck that. \ I know im unsure what the linesman saw he cant of been level with the play there is noway he knew 100 percent what he was calling.

I'm going to take the blame for that. I'm having one of those weekends with my Football Teams.

No real surprise that in a week where Rogers has complained about reffing decisions going against us, one costs us the win.

Luiz OG. Not his fault, just hit him after coming back off the post.

What a game this is, cant beleive anyone can even controll the ball at this pace. What was with De Geas 10 man wall? Seriously that just stinks of no confidence in your own abilities.

if chelsea continue like they finished the first you feel they must score again, Man U came out of the blocks hard and fast and are sure to have more up their sleeves too. Get Torres off. phew what a game

United seem to be paying the refs these days. That was offside. Wish we had that linesman for the 'Pool game!

Though United is going to win.... My impression is that we are witnessing last years of English 442.
Pitty that the game was wrecked in early 2nd half. Intensity of first half, sophisticated 4231 and seasoned 442 clashed, was insanely good.

A good game killed off by poor decisions for sure, but it's not all one way, we had a clear penalty denied moments before they equalized after Luiz blatantly handled. Don't like winning with controversy, but have to say don't really feel that guilty seeing Hernandez score from an off side position, belated justice for Drogba's 'goal' that effectively killed off our title hopes a few years back.

One. I dont think a United fan can complain about any refereeing decision in that game. Two. Winning through controversy makes it all the sweeter.

You would know little details of Liverpool games over the last 10 years that I dont. Trust me on United, we have had the worst luck with refs there the past decade, ask any Chelsea fan with a brain, hard to come by I know. Last year we got a dodgy penalty I admit that, so two games in the last 10 years isn't too much to ask.

Merely pointing out the consistency in the poor officiating decisions. Two. Completely disagree, winning with a quality footballing performance that leaves people in awe of our team rather than despising us for 'paying the refs again' is a far better victory imo.

Against ONE opponent you haven't had the rub of the luck, maybe. But you've got shit going your way all over the place. You can hardly complain about a couple of matches when refereeing mistakes have won you 7 points this season and you'd be in 6th if it weren't for them.

I was thinking about this, so I had a look - over the last 5 seasons United are +20 for penalties won, and are +3 on red cards to opponents (it'd be more like +9 if Vidic hadn't got himself sent off at least once a season in that time).

Don't have time just yet but I will find some official stats that will really make other fans look back and really see what type of decisions we get. It seems like we get a lot because we are always on MOTD and usually have more of the ball which means we are usually up near the goal which increases the chances of penalties, red cards etc. I still can't believe when decisions go against us, not ONE word is said, then we get a call in our favour and all hell breaks loose. I really do feel bad for the people who think we pay refs. I mean grown men should no better and man up, some of the excuses are sad. afromanGT wrote:You can hardly complain about a couple of matches when refereeing mistakes have won you 7 points this season and you'd be in 6th if it weren't for them. Sorry also have to pick this out. We have gone over this time and time again over the past two years. Just because one thing happens, doesn't mean it nails on the result. If Hernandez's goal was dissallowed for offside. Would we have just sat back? No. We would have gone for it again and you can't be certain that we wouldn't score. We might not have, we might have scored two goals, who knows. The only time mistakes 100% cost points are in the cases like the Suarez offside goal where there is no time left.

What minute did we get awarded the penalty? I think I must have missed it.
