You wanna throw a quote in there with that champ, or are you just going to keep spouting crap?

Also note: Spearing has eyes on the ball, by your own definition: not violent conduct.

I'll throw a couple in Quote:How you can send off Spearing for that and not even book Riise for clattering Suarez 2 minutes later is laughable Quote:It's shameful that after the uproar from the Rodwell incident, Spearing is shown a straight red.

Seems to me to be arguing for consistency of punishment, not against a red card. Jus' sayin'. And as for Nani 'playing the ball and not the player', why is he looking straight at Arbeloa for a significant duration prior to impact?

The more I watch that gif the more I see it as a red tbh.
You can see the little push after he connects.

You can see the little push after he connects. That's questionable. What's damning, however, is the fact that he's clearly looking AT Arbeloa and continues to extend his leg instead of back away from the challenge.

The ball was in the same direction as Arbeloa so its a bit hard to say that he was looking at him And by the time he's turned and realised Arbeloa was there it was too late to pull out

The video is too blurry to tell for certain, but to me, at no stage in that does it look like he looks in Arbeloa's direction. He looks towards the sideline, Arbeloa comes from a much further back angle than Nani looks at.

Wait..so you mean he checks to see where his opposite number is? Well...since no other player in the history of professional football would EVER do a thing like that at this level of the game he must be guilty. Wait a minute.

I'll be honest and say I'm not sure where you are going with your comment. Could you clarify further? FWIW, my comments are not to say if Nani should have received a red card or not. I am only disputing the argument that Nani did not know there was another player challenging for the ball; that Nani did not realise Arbeloa would be there. Since the main defence of Nani [supporters] is that he didn't see Arbeloa, I thought it was important to raise this point.

Since the main defence of Nani [supporters] is that he didn't see Arbeloa, I thought it was important to raise this point. In the lead-up play Nani is simply checking to see where his opposite number is - like any good player - to avoid being burned on the counter and to see where the gap in the defence is going to be should the ball land at his feet. And then it was all downhill from there.

Blackburn and Millwall. Worst game of football I've ever seen. Fucking attrocious first half, played between two teams who CAN'T KEEP THE BALL ON THE FUCKING DECK. I'm not kidding, every ball played forwards is in the air. It's shite.
