Not really, Home Ground Advantage is vastly overstated IMO. And doesn't really effect the tie like an Away goal does. Def agree with Sydcro here, The rule needs changing.

I wouldn't call it a rule change, more just a tweak to make it fair across the board.

I'm not saying there's no advantage to playing at home, just that I don't think it's as big as people say it is, and I definitely don't find it comparable to the advantage the current away goal rule brings.

Given that the study suggests that the home team wins two thirds of the time I'd say that it definitely is as big as people suggest.

Though the study also found that the more games a team plays in a season, the less susceptible they are to another team's home advantage.
