Hard to say because they've had a bit of an easy draw. They were fortunate to play MV when they did, as at the time MV had barely recruited anyone and had a very depleted squad. That being said, it still took them 120 minutes to win. They smashed Edgeworth 1-5, but that's to be expected. Adelaide should be a good test for them. Should be a pretty good game. Adelaide have the home advantage so I reckon they'll take the win.

Ah yes, I saw snippets of the MV game but agree Victory were nowhere near ready for that game to come so early so doesn't say a lot.

Same goes for United though. Played two NPL teams so far in the Cup and all I remember from pre-season results is we lost 1-0 to City at home to a poor keeper clearance from Margush.

How have the Jets been looking in pre-season anyone?
Haven't seen any of their cup games or followed results much.

I could look up numbers but anyone have a "feel" for how they are travelling?

Après avoir renversé Wellington Phoenix, les Jaune et Bleu iront disputer les quarts de finale grâce à une victoire acquise sur la plus petite des marges face à Mainly United. i'm not too bothered by the result, after we beat wollongong wolves to make the Grand Final, the club decided to rest players and not take the FFA CUP seriously.

out of our starting 11 we had 5 players who are regular U20s with the rest of the squad bar 2, fringe players.

yer I hear you......still would have hurt, hurt me watching from afar.

Well, I'm saddened for SU after their busy schedule the recent weeks for it to all fall apart.
They were flat and some players coming out of from their own danger zone wanted to dribble by too many players to lose the ball and wanderers easily returned serve.
This game certainly hasn't given me any indication what were to expect from wanderers but maybe facing City in the QF we shall see.
Sad also Manly knocked out but happy its another PL side advancing so good luck Strikers.
Hume what can you say but well done rippa result knocking off AU.
The more surprise was watching CCM contest the fancied revamped Roar and Away !
Its a game taking your chances and CCM did that with less possession but got to give it to them and Staj they played very well defensively. Marked improvement to recent years.
Entertaining Cup round.

My observations re the squads to date...

Pussy Cat Dolls... very much improved on last season.
Jerks... improved on last season.
Mighty Mariners... the most improved team in the league when compared to last season
Drive Bys... improved on last season
The South Gosford Flying Circus[SFC]... slightly worst than last season..
BT's [MV] ... improved on last season
LT's [MC] ...improved on last season.
Piss Ants .... not sure seem a tad stronger than last year.
Western red Necks... worst than last year.
New Kids on the Block.... no idea
Sheep Shaggers ... at this point the most disappointing compared to last season

What is " worst " ?
