Just realised what a massive fixture Broadmeadow vs Heidleberg is. Florinan Macedonians vs F.Y.R.O.M/Geographically confused Bulgarians. Certainly the game of the round. https://www.facebook.com/hufc58/videos/864694180250383/

The SU58 v South Hobart fixture will be very tasty. I forgot they played in the inaugural NPL Championship final. I dare say there'd be a bit of revenge on offer. United haven't been that crash hot this season. Could potentially be a cupset on the cards.

Magic are proudly Macedonian, no doubt. I would hazard a guess 90% of their committee, and at least half of their supporters (they have the best support in NNSW IMO) are Maco. But player-wise, I'd hazard a guess they have 1-2 Macedonian 1st grade players. I think one of Ben Kantarovski's brothers is still there, and maybe one other player. Working through their lineup, I can't think of many. If anything, they have a few FYROM guys  So whilst the club is proudly Macedonian, I have doubts over how much the players will care what ethnic background Heidleberg are.

I think that's the case for most ethnic clubs though that play at a high level. Knights and South Melbourne are hardly stacked with Croatians and Greeks but that doesn't mean the intensity and passion isn't there for their big games. I think if magics fans want this game to be a big deal, then the players will naturally get swept up in it

Omg what about paulcs club stories. FOR THE LOVE OF FUCK TELL ME THEY ARE TRUE!!!

Will Darwin Olympic-Adelaide be at TIO Stadium? It's the only suitable ground in the NT right? Hopefully they can pull a decent crowd.

If I know anything about the old Macedonian guys who turn up every week, I'd hazard a guess they'd personally give a few financial incentives to the players to treat it like the big deal they want it to be

Anyone have any insight to Foxsports commitment this year? Are they going to show more games?
Hope the teams are allowed to stream again. That was great last year.

Streams were what made the Cup so magical last season, at least get Fox to throw Corndog a line and get him in for some colour commentary  -PB

I cant believe we have to play Newcastle again, having to play an A-league opponent in the first round sucks.

The viewers choice channels are also constantly broadcasting rubbish 24/7 when they're not "active" to the box too. The cost to do it wouldn't be as high as one might think.
