Heidelberg v victory would be the big one for melbourne, Heidelberg has a large old school dormant fan base that would come out of the woodwork for this, victory is victory, would go close to 10,000.

One interesting phenomenon in this round was seeing Josh McDonald come on for WSW.
The top FFA coaches have been raving about him for some time. Considered to have similar talent and technical quality to Da Silva.
It was good to see him on the pitch, but I hope imports don't keep him out of the WSW starting line up. In the time he was on the pitch, he looked to be of high quaility on the ball.
Only saw the latter part of the game, but credit to WSW and Roar, both teams played some good football. Along with Victory, they are the only HAL teams who have payed decent football to date in the 2015 FFA Cup, based on what I've seen.
Although Jets looked okay late in the game against Glory.

He's on an NYL deal and will be 3rd choice at best I'd say.

We had a sellout in the 99 semi against Hellas I doubt we'll get more than what we got then. That was before we had seating behind the goal and in front of the entrance gate. That was still all terraces and they, along with the hills, were packed.

Must admit, I'm loving the FFA Cup.:d
I'd love to see a lot of these clubs around for longer.
It would be good to see the FA Cup, or another Cup, operated twice in a year.
I'v been pleasantly surprised by the quality of football some NPL teams have played.=d>

Victory crowds can be a bit weird in terms of non-HAL games. Even in the ACL they were getting crowds of around ~6000 until they were almost through the group stage. Could easily be ten thousand, could just as easily be 4000 depending on whether fans' imagination is captured.

The highlight of lastnight was seeing BlackMac79 break up a scuffle, because of the Jets' active guys spotted someone wearing what he thought was a Chelsea jersey (turned out to be a Fulham jersey)

Gif of Jamieson's foul on Manlet McKay. https://imgflip.com/gif/pdyg7WesternSydneyFootball members not only defending it, but praising him and saying "nothin wrong with a bit of thuggery in football bro"

Meh, if he's willing to take the ticket (I assume one was given?) and it was late in a tight game to prevent a potentially good move best of luck to him. #thuglyfe

He knew from the stats of the 2nd half things were not going well. He panic when the goal was scored. Roar being so flat in the 2nd means Aloisi didn't know what to do.
And people called Gombau a fraud. I guess some people just aren't cut out for coaching. I'm guessing John Aloisi is one of those people. I can't believe that after less than 24 months of coaching a team to being known as the most boring to watch and a failure all round, that he would magically have the skills to coach a winning team. But at least he has recruited his brother and mate to help him out... Aloisi to be the first to be shown the door this season, once the new owners come in. The odds are shortening after that performance. It had an eery Melbourne Heart feel about it.A striker without a serious shot on goal.Missed chances and periods under the pump.A far cry from the once mighty Roarcelona. It is still early days. But it's the same for all teams. For a team which is virtually the same as last year and the year before,I don't see any progress. No one should be surprised. I'll be shocked and eat the humble pie come the end of the season and Brisbane are playing great football, but the bloke didn't win a single fucking game with Heart  I don't care how many talk shows he goes on or how many training sessions in Spain he has seen, the performance tonight showed that absolutely nothing has changed. Those are the 2 things I thought about last night, Didn't want to say it at first I thought it may come off as an angry Heart/City supporter wanting to sink the boot in. But correct I was watching them thinking my god this is like watching Heart back in the day. Couple of chances but did not convert striker no influence. WSW get the lead and hold out and not look like loosing. I hope I am wrong and I wish John and his brother the best. but at this rate it feels like nothing has changed. Expect for the fact he wasn't in his slick looking suit and cardigan. I have to add ,that I don't want to be an Aloisi basher.I really really hope he can be succesful. But my heart(excuse the pun) sank after that performance.Even the movement of Brattan forward more seemed a failure.Last night confirmed for me that Brattan needs more time on the ball and is more effective picking out long passes from a mid to deeper position. He is not quick and quick short passing doesn't seem to be his strength.
