+xJust don't put us with an ALeague side. This. A Victorian NPL side would be good. That way it'll be easy for the away fans to get to, and it'll create a mini derby. Although I do like seeing Victorian sides dominate the comp, which was the case the last two seasons. Based on the way things are looking, if we don't get put in the HAL V HAL pot, we'll have about a 1 in 2.5 chance of getting a Victorian NPL side.

Yep, the draw will definitely be happening tonight. Exciting times. More info here: http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/article/westfield-ffa-cup-2016-round-of-16-draw-to-be-conducted-tonight/uun8pznllj4h1o0nhsrp6ucm9Still can't get my head around how many A-League matches there'll be. I hope you're right, The Witness, by saying that they won't be doing any more. I'm trying to decipher the data from this image, but it's cryptic. Maybe they just decide it on a round-by-round basis? http://images.performgroup.com/di/library/FFA_Cup/2a/84/ffa-cup-2016_xotffce8cyyb1lzkww9n1ibg6.jpg

+xfrom all accounts Devonport Strikers have been rock solid defensively in the league but may struggle to score too many They have Brayden Mann playing who has played for South Hobart in FFA cup and NPL National playoff games previously but otherwise I reckon it will be the first match like this for most of their players, I hope they can step up ! https://www.facebook.com/DevonportStrikers/zoom in and you can probably make out the Advocate articles for the Strikers game - otherwise they may have the articles up on the Advocate website

+x+x+x+xany word on when the FFA Cup round of 16 draw is taking place and what date. plus what is the draw procedure to be for the next round. The FFA Cup website is more vague than in previous years on how the draw will work. From my interpretation the format will be 3 NPL vs NPL matches drawn out followed by 5 NPL vs A-League, as long as Sydney beat Wollongong. If the Wolves win it would become 4 NPL vs NPL then 4 NPL vs A-League. Because of the 2 upsets A-League vs A-League are not required in the Round of 16. I'm not sure that's quite right. If it's the same as it has been in the past it'll be 4 NPL vs NPL, 3 NPL vs A-League and 1 A-League vs A-League (assuming Sydney wins). If Wolves winning would you are right. Yeah you're right, if they use the same as previous years we will have an all A-League game in the R16. Slot 4 vs Slot 5, I managed to track down the previous format. But they have not stated the format for 2016 anywhere, so really it's all an educated guess. Yeah, strange they haven't printed that part out on this years draw, any chance you can post the previous format for us? The FFA did announce the change to the Round 32 for the 10 A-league teams not being split into top 4 and bottom 6, so we are all guessing that means no further changes for the Round of 16 onwards, and at least one extra Member Federation team in the Quarters given the extra Member Fed vs Member Fed Round of 16 match replacing one of last year's A-League vs A-League Round of 16 match due to the 2 cupsets.

Even with their star-studded, easily most expensive side in Newcastle NPL, they've been dire this year. Plus they've got a tonne of injuries currently, half the players injured I assume will be played tonight and aren't match fit (this includes Jobe Wheelhouse, he hasn't played in a month). Lambtons team includes Jobe Wheelhouse, former Joey Luke Remington (he's incredibly quick and has a nice left foot but is very, very soft and easily goes missing), former NSL goalkeeper Brad Swancott (immense), a kid I grew up with Bailey Jensen (just wanted to mention that haha, I don't think he will start though), the nicest human being in the entire world Rhys Tippett (a striker that will probably be on the bench or at right back. He's the one that scored the offside goal for Broadmeadow Magic v Heidelberg last year, if anyone remembers), former Jets Youth defender/midfielder Ben Hay (his brother is one of my good friends and has a tattoo of Ned Flanders, enough said about his legendary status), and classy but tubby (I think former NSL player?) John Majurovski. How's that for a preview of the Jaffas squad!

Looking forward to the Davenport game, I hope their town comes out and supports them tonight. I feel Sydney FC will be too good for Wollongong and we won't see another NPL team knock out an A-league club, I watched Wollongong play a couple weeks back and they were very average. A strong crowd down in Wollongong playing in one of the best stadiums in Australia will definitely be the highlight of tonight.

Bet365 odds for Wolves winning tonight are 25:1
Now that'd be an upset.

Reportedly that Davenport are expecting 1200+ for the game which would be brilliant!

ticket sales are going very well for tonight's match at WIN Stadium between Wollongong Wolves and Sydney FC I just checked Ticketmaster there are only about 1350 tickets remaining in the seating areas (not including the standing room hill area) for tonight's match. http://www.ticketmaster.com.au/ffa-cup-wollongong-wolves-v-sydney-wollongong-new-south-wales-10-08-2016/event/130050EDC52A5595?artistid=2024198&majorcatid=10004&minorcatid=11&tm_link=artist_msg-0_130050EDC52A5595

Gentlemen, hold on to your cevapi.
Rain and 90km/h winds tipped for Melbourne tonight, so likely to be wet and wild at Knights Stadium tonight.

First Time I've had a chance to go to Knights stadium, just don't know what's the go with parking The streets were pretty crazy last time, and that was with St Albans playing, not Knights. That said, most people just didn't want to pay to park in the stadium. I did and there was shitloads of space.

+xSo will that be a crowd record for a R32 clash? Current record is 6,111 for CCM vs Wellington Phoenix last year.

lol Pasfield. Looking forward to this.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.
