+x+x+x+xAnd to our latest story... fans of each club blindly defend their own club. More news at 11.To be honest, good to see that the State of Origin derby is well and truly alive and still as fiery as ever :D:D:D:D Quick, get some 90s origin player out to do a queenslander sermon about "pride for ya state". We will, as soon as the salt stops flying ... get that stuff in your eyes and it will bring tears to even the toughest ex-Origin player Thats not salt. Thats coke. Does it still sting though 😂

+x+x+x+xI didn't see the match in its entirety, but Roar were good value for their win. Fair play to them. Fowler approached the game with a plan to nullify Sydney, and it clearly worked. No reason why there shouldn't be a bit of optimism among the fans. At the same time though, Sydney looked extremely ordinary, and miles off the level we saw against PSG or the 6-1 demolition of MV last season. It's difficult to read a great deal into the result, as we know Sydney can (and this season, definitely will) produce much better football than what they served up last night. I get the sense that while BR are obviously further ahead in preparation, the level we saw from them last night is more or less the level they'll be at throughout the regular season, with maybe a tiny bit of room for improvement. Competitive and defensively-sound, but probably not going to trouble the top 4 this season. More salt 😂 Lol isn't he a Victory fan? Why would he be salty Waz? And I'm not salty either. We sucked and you deserved the win. Jeggohouse is an Adelaide fan. I'm not sure how he's salty either. I thought it was a very reasonable post. There was literally no salt whatsoever. I gave a very fair and accurate summary of the game lol. He's just triggered because I dared to suggest that the teams we all identified in our predictions as contenders will find another gear, while Brisbane have more or less hit their peak.

Until there is something on the line like ACL, some teams will never take this Cup serious like the Nix.

Knights fans booed Nikola Mileusnic due to his Serbian heritage. https://indaily.com.au/opinion/2019/08/08/stench-of-bigotry-sours-ffa-cup/This is scummy behaviour but the sad thing is, I'm not surprised. The Knights fans seem to engage in racist behaviour often and the sad part is that MKFC seems to do nothing about it which would imply that the club is complicit with this behaviour. The Melbourne Knights should be barred from ever entering the HAL or a second division until they stop the racist behaviour done by their fans.

I don't know what to make of Brisbane yet. They were very physical, never missing the chance to niggle and were very determined to punish every mistake. The referee not wanting to punish rough tactics and Sydney with no real player to assert their authority from the front certainly helped them keep Sydney to where they wanted. O'Donovan was their best player, he terrified everyone on the ball and inspired everyone else.
Sydney showed glimpses but a lot of the attack was clearly by players who haven't become accustomed to each other yet. Zullo's importance was very evident. The lack of width, along with ABJ's tendency to wander and leave the right side exposed was worrying. Brisbane's second goal came because he could not decide whether he was injured or not for long enough for play to stop.

Always enjoyed the FFA Cup, that turn and finish by the Newcastle lad was just quality and his teammates reaction to it was fantastic.
However it’s a great shame that Sydney United vs WSW won’t be played at Sydney United’s home ground, the atmosphere would have been incredible.
Also the Roar surprised me, they had a game plan and it worked.

I’m all for clubs keeping their heritage but not when it turns into racism. Pretty shit behaviour. They should not allow them anywhere near he second division. Or if they do they need to come out and say what they are going to do to stop it from happening. I just don’t get these peoples mentalities. These people are probably born in Australia.

Was this from a small section of the crowd or pretty much the whole crowd? I think it would be ridiculous to ban a whole club from the second division, based on a group of 20 fans out of 4,000 booing a player because of his background. I'm not saying it was 20, 200, or 2000. I'm just saying we need to know the full facts before making statements that a certain club should be banned.

I understand where you’re coming from but irrespective if it’s 1 person or all of them the club should say publicly we don’t condone this behaviour and if you are caught doing this you won’t be allowed at our games or something similar. They probably won’t come out and condemn it because that tends to be how these clubs operate. Racism anywhere shouldn’t happen. Stering snd the english fa took a stand earlier in the year and made a real point of it. They need to stop this now

I don't think the club as a whole should be at fault for this. People around these guys (at most sounded like three individuals) should be smart enough and understand this is the 21st century, and call out these guys for their ancient mentalities.

Some bitter twat makes up a bullshit story and you all take it as gospel? Were any of you there, or did any of you watch the match? Some of you may be surprised to learn that he didn't come on until the 67th minute, and guess what? There was not a boo when it happened. There is no doubt there was booing when he had possession at times (less than half of those times), but so were a handful of other Adelaide players. So how is it determine that it is because of his race? What is the explanation for the other players it happened to? I've heard the club are preparing to slap them with defamation unless it is retracted, and they already have in writing from Nikola that it isn't true and he enjoyed the clubs hospitality.

+x+xIf they were booing him for being of Serbian descent, how is that not racist? Serbians and Croatians are the same race. Is race just skin colour? I thought race was a general construct that can encompass general sociallity or nationality. Im sure there's lots of Serbs and Croats who think they're ethnically different. It's like that Dave Chapelle bit. White racism...some top notch real specific racism.

Adelaide fan writes article about Adelaide player being booed. I was at Aus Peru game in Russia and the Peruvian were racist against Australia fans. Australian fans booed a player who was diving. The Peruvian then proceed to boo Australia fans and get upset because they assumed Australian are racists.... because that player had black skin......

Some no-name writes an article on a no-name website about a handful of fans (out of 4000) supposedly booing a player with (zero supporting evidence beyond hearsay) and you support turfing them from a second division? Apply some critical thinking skills and don't believe everything you read, Jesus Christ.

+xStill not convinced 'booing' is racist - if anything society has become to PC and there are too many soft SJW wanks out there Stop pretending to be so naive. NOBODY said booing is racist. If he was getting booed for being Serbian and no other reason then yes, its racism. Whether Serbian/Croatian are seperate "races' is just wordplay semantics (All humans are of the same "race", we just belong to vastly different ethnicities).
