Thats excellent considering that its amateur and there was not a huge amount of publicity. Ive asked our club, but i wonder what the deal is with streaming live FFA Cup matches. If fox do not choose to broadcast the game is it up for grabs? Surely not. Surely its only amateur teams that are allowed to do this? Otherwise other teams could essentially sell the rights to their matches to broadcasters so long as Fox doesn't air the game...that just sounds like a huge legal minefield. Does anyone else have insight into this?

Does anyone else have insight into this? As far as I understand it, Fox bought the rights to ALL of the games but are choosing NOT to show them (for whatever financial/logistical reasons). Would imagine it could end up bad if anything like ads or other form of revenue raising even slightly shows its head on a live stream. -PB

Does anyone else have insight into this? not sure how they set it up but they went through all the different parties to get it done, this is on the Tuggers website Quote:A live online stream, of tonights big match, will be available via the South Hobart FC website. Visit http://www.southhobartfc.com/ for the link. Kick-off is Tuesday 5 August, 7:30pm, KGV Park, Hobart. We thank the FFA, Foxtel, Football Tasmania and South Hobart FC for making this possible.

They will show a minimum of 10 games I think including all games from the quarters onwards. No one else can broadcast on TV but any club could live stream if Fox werent showing their game. Only Hobart seemed willing to by the looks of it.

How many people who have bothered to follow this game if it was not for it having a live stream. It is good for two amature clubs to give themselves some coverage.

Nice bit of play from Tugger
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.
