+xI'd love this thread in an alternative universe where all you heroes are fathers Oh c'mon man let's not get carried away here. Kids gonna be a school yard hero and if I was a dad in this scenario I'd be telling my son to pull his head in while also being proud of him for being a little shit if I was also a Sydney fan. I hate that this is going to get blown out of proportion. Take Matt Simon out of this situation and it's very very very different.

Doesn't absolve the adult Marrone of his duty of care but the kid needs to be told what he's done is not on, not given a medal. Exactly, Marrone should not have knocked him over but it does not mean the ball boy was doing the right thing. He was there to give players the ball and he failed to do it.

Not that it matters, if Adelaide were going to win it they would have put one of those sitters away in the first half of extra time I've watched it a few times. The kid turns and puts his body in between Marrone and the ball. Marrone is overzealous trying to reach around him for the ball which basically turns in to a hug and the kid goes down. Watching it at normal speed I'm not convinced the kid is being smart. It feels like he is looking to the ref and waiting on a call of whether he's returning to the ball to a red shirt or not. Remember this is all within the space of a second between a kid in 2 minds and Marrone thinking nothing but give me the ball now now now. Honestly that's how it looks to me. LOL, he's not there as an assitant to the refs, he's there as a ballboy, when I was a ballboy in a sunday league GF, I was fukn scared of the players and just threw it to anyone. The kid knew what he was doing. He was a prick and it was the biggest acting job. He should be ashamed. As for the cop. Wow. Retire.
