+xTBF Adelaide have hosted already. Yeah and I have no problem (besides the whole thing being based every year on whims instead of criteria) with Sydney getting to host the final.

Scenario 1 - give the final to Adelaide, Arnie whinges and complains and media beats up the story, FFA cops another slagging. Scenario 2 - play the game in Sydney and Kurtz says "it is an honour to play in the finals and may the best team win" and Arnie can talk about how they deserve it.

+x+x+xShit I forgot this game wasn't even on tonight.Sounds like it was a shambles of a ref performance Melling should have had his citizenship revoked and been sent back to the old country. I thought it was a 50/50. As usual the "tactical genius" decentric shows his lack of all round football awareness and knowledge.

+x+x+x+xShit I forgot this game wasn't even on tonight.Sounds like it was a shambles of a ref performance As a neutral I didn't think the ref was significant. You missed a good game. As a neutral - the ref made a lot of errors in favor of WSW. It was a good game and I am ok with the reds winning it. The Reds need to be careful about complaining about it being too rough as they are just as bad as their opposition this year. Both teams will do well this season. They both play attractive football (unlike some other teams who are doing well of late). Sorry, we might be niggly sometimes or Isaias might be a pain in the arse and I can see why people take pleasure in him getting hurt but I have never seen him or any other United player (certianly not in this squad) put a tackle on like Bonevacia's or Melling's. That's a line there that shouldn't be crossed. Roly's should have been a red. I think there have been a lot of games too rough this season. It is a general thing (not just a team or 2). I would prefer for the refs to be more strict.
Full trophy cabinet (but yours looks a bit empty) ! Reigning BACK2BACK 442 A League and World Cup (Mens and Womens) Tipping Champion - so yeap, I do know best !

Besides the fact it should have CLEARLY been 11 vs 9 and 2-0 with no penalty yeah, insignificant factor. The fact Fox commentators and pundits alike were on our side for those 3 incidents says all you need to know as we are hardly a favourite of theirs.

Decentric, if you think that is a fair challenge it only goes to prove you "critics" right regarding your actual understanding of the game from anything other than a vague tactical perspective. I am still fuming at the tackles in that game. Roly's tackle was disgusting and petulant but Melling's was borderline criminal. Foxe talked about his players being "men". Well if Foxe had an honourable bone in his body he should suspend Melling himself. I would if I was his coach. On top of everythjing else, on any other day it would have been a red and cost his team any chance of a comeback

+xWSW 66% possession to Adelaide’s 34%. Crucial stat for wanderers is only two shots on goal one of which was a penalty (AU only got 3). 13-8 to WSW on shots overall. Thanks. I thought the 13 - 8 shots at goal was about right in WSW's favour, but I'm even surprised that WSW didn't have more and AU had less. Looking at the WSW bench I didn't recognise the Spanish assistant coach from last season. Does anyone reading this know if he is still at the club?

+x+xWanderers need to shoot more. In the first half they may have had 2 goals and then its a different game. Cant argue the result. We still get in the same habit as last few seasons. All this mucking around with the ball trying to get cute with these intricate passes. Just find someone square, get into a shooting position and put your boot through it. I'm not sure what the final stats were regarding possession, territory, balls into the pen box and shots at goal, but I thought WSW dominated the game for long periods. They played plenty of neat football. As a neutral I thought WSW were the better team and deserved to win. I certainly enjoyed watching their style of football last night. Recently it seems Baccus has improved quite a lot in a short time. I think Risdon has also improved.

+x+xI know it'll never happen, but it'd be great if the WSW coach came out and declared that garbage as extreme bias and openly described that as the most pitiful of refereeing to blight the "A" league. The squads of all teams improve every year, but no professional sportsmen are going to come to the A league (unless they get a gig in Melbourne or Sydney), if they don't get protected and have to endure pitiful refereeing, or the referees are punished. Tonight Peter Green should've been absolved as he's clearly biased or hopeless. ( I choose the former) Foxe thought the only problem with the Wanderers was they didn't take their chances. Apart from the two Riera headers, which I think he would usually score at least one of them, I don't remember many chances. Foxe would probably get a huge fine if he criticised the referees for not sending off his players, but surely he knows he was very lucky to end the game with more than 9 players on the field. Best chance they had in open play had Risdon in possession in front of goal and instead of shooting he played it off to Riera.

That was atrocious from Peter Green, the worst refereeing I have ever seen. Made a farce of the whole game and was simply disgusting. Well done to Adelaide and Marco Kurz you deserved your win and 3 Wanderers deserve a suspension.

+x+x+x+x+x+x+xAdelaide please win this. No body besides FFA want a 4th derby this season. The first ones already showing signs of fatigue Derbies solve everything Simon Hill's suggestion of a Leichartd Oval final FTW. Because it's not a question of where to host the final for FFA but where in Sydney to host it A. Adelaide have already hosted a final B. We were in the final last season yet City got the nod C. We've had one home game in the last three seasons of the FFA cup But sure, hurrrr durrrrr SYdney Biazzzz D. I'm from Sydney and I'm important E. The finals are always played in this order East Coast, South Australia, Western Australia. AU only got to host the final because it was against Perth. Would have been something if that Irish working holiday visa mob in Darwin made the final against Perth

+x+xWould have thought Davo would be at the game for an official duty. i.e. announce the venue after the game. Strongly doubt he just woke up interested in football and went along No FFA Cup is his regular "im a beer drinking bloke who loves grassroots" thing. He loves the camera. I saw the green can in the photo and thought he couldn't possibly be trying the VB thing on us
