Anyway hopefully we get Bentleigh, and Mariners lose to Adelaide. Perth vs Adelaide final. Wonder how they determine who hosts in a HAL v HAL situation? GF/GA? -PB How the Draw WorksPot A (HAL teams) drawn first Pot B (Bentleigh) drawn last. 1 plays away to Bentleigh 2 plays at home to 3 3 plays away to 2 4 Bentleigh plays at home to 1 Meant for the Grand Final. -PB The FFA will probably have it played where the biggest crowd will be drawn. I'd say in Perth or Adelaide if against either Bentleigh or CCM. If CCM and Bentleigh left, then up to Gosford I guess. Can't see it played in Vic.

Along with PBSC v Fire when they can beat Caloundra.

For mine Adelaide v Mariners winner is the strong favourite for the title.
Adelaide look the goods and certainly have the edge over Perth after last week.
The Mariners last match before the final is in Wellington. Surely the FFA wouldn't then make them then travel to Perth for a midweek game? Surely? However, with the boot on the other foot, I can't see Perth travelling to the east coast midweek and winning. Would the FFA reschedule some games maybe?

Glh37 wrote:Assuming the FFA want A-League teams to have 3 days between FFA Cup and A-League Fixtures Adelaide United should be playing in the first of the 2 scheduled semi final weeks (as they play Sunday 23rd and Friday 28th in the A-League) and if I have counted correctly then the 3 ways the semi final draw might pan out are:-
1. Bentleigh vs Adel Utd Tues 11th or Wed 12th, CCM vs PG Wed 26th - Bentleigh and Central Coast/Perth to be at home 2. Adel Utd vs CCM Wed 12th, Bentleigh vs PG Tues 25th or Wed 26th - Bentleigh and Adelaide/CCM to be at home 3. Adel Utd vs PG Wed 12th, Bentleigh vs CCM Wed 26th or Thurs 27th - Bentleigh and Adelaide/Perth to be at home
so it looks like either some short/2 day turnarounds or definite Wednesday night cup semi final action is on the cards
based on my previous post my guess is that Adel Utd vs CCM will be Wednesday 12th November and Glory will play against Bentleigh on Tuesday 25th November just so that one of the semis is on a Tuesday "cup night", it will be rough for Bentleigh to have another month between games if that is the case
