IMO this thread could be very useful as long as it is updated after every signing/re-signing and contract termination. You up for the responsibility ATE? Now Dino Dulbic can be added to the list.

Now Dino Dulbic can be added to the list. He was added. Don't think it will require too much micro-managing and constant watch. Once a week/fortnight at minimum. If there's anything new people will clearly know that but its still 1-2 players out of 230. Just check last edit date. The off-season is long. 180 days for 70 player movements. As I mentioned, if it gets too out-of-date the mods can just edit whatever needs changing with the info people put in the thread (I'd assume if it got to that stage there'd be people listing info here so it'd be straight forward c+p).

He had a great season last year but this season was not as good and in a couple years time you will be counting down the days until you can get rid of him. Plus it's irrelevant that he scored more goals than most Sydney players because if you look at the OP you will see we are getting rid of our shit forwards while Bridge is on a long-term contract... Edited by jack999: 23/4/2014 11:23:29 AM He could have signed on at a pretty low wage though.

Matt Thompson has gone to Marconi, not Manly. Manly's 'big signing', turned out to be a fucking mascot. #-o #-o    In related news, talk is Ranko Despotovic has left Sydney FC and gone overseas. In addition to that sounds like Richard Garcia is #gone, too. I expect a fair few off contract players to walk, as the talk is that Sydney FC won't announce the new gaffer until after the World Cup. To me, that's cutting it ridiculously short for a 'pre-season'. Especially if we do end up getting a new overseas manager. You would hope they'd have more than just over a month to get to know the team, sign players, work out formations and play some friendlies.

I know games don't start til October but jeez late July is too late. Who's going to make signing decisions in the mean time? If they hold out SFC will be filled with state league players like Warren again. Edited by andytoddselbow: 28/4/2014 04:54:49 PM

FFS, if it turns out we've lost Ranko and Garcia because these morons got rid of FF and the club is in a state if flux again, I'm going to be even more pssed off.

Powell, Vrankovic, Thompson, ADP, Kamara have been updated.
Didn't realise Teeboy was still able to play - I thought his condition (whatever it was) stopped him from it?
Scored a brace for Inglewood in the WA NPL. :D

Mitchinson and Vrankovic are already playing for different clubs. Not exactly quick are they?
Walker is another like Vrankovic that should be somewhere in the A-League. WSW/Wellington need a right-back.

GVE had his genius cap on this season when he set up the squad with one lone RB in Scott Neville, and two makeshift RBs in Brillante & Pepper. I'd much rather see us go into the season with two right backs, to be honest.

Archie Thompson has re-signed for 1 year, and Adrian Leijer for 2, at Victory. http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/melbournevictory/news-display/Club-stalwarts-to-stay-at-Victory/90265Quote:Club stalwarts to stay at Victory Friday, 2 May 2014 1:05 PM
Inaugural players Archie Thompson and Adrian Leijer will remain at Melbourne Victory next season, with the club today announcing the duo had both signed contract extensions.
Thompson (184 games), who has signed a one-year extension, and Leijer (162 games), who will be at the club for at least another two seasons, have both pulled on the navy blue shirt more times than any other players in Victory’s history.
Coach Kevin Muscat said he was delighted to have secured their services again.
“Both of these boys have been with us since day one and as we head into the ten-year anniversary of this great club, I’m thrilled Archie and Adrian will be with us again next season,” Muscat said.
“Archie is a proven performer and is certainly someone that every fan of Melbourne Victory looks up to and admires.
“While Adrian has had a slightly disrupted year as a result of a serious facial injury, he’s shown that he is an important and very reliable part of our defensive structure and is a highly respected member of our change room."
Thompson sits atop the Hyundai A-League’s all-time goal scorers list with 78 goals in his 184 appearances, ahead of Perth Glory’s Shane Smeltz, who has scored 77.
“Anyone who knows me, including all our loyal fans, knows I bleed blue,” Thompson said.
“I can’t imagine playing at any other A-League club and I’m really happy that I’ll be with Melbourne Victory as we prepare to celebrate our tenth anniversary next season.”
Leijer said he was thrilled to be remaining with the club at which he made his senior debut.
“Melbourne Victory is a great club with a great history and a terrific culture,” Leijer said.
“I am obviously delighted to be staying with the club and look forward to working with Kevin (Muscat) for another couple of seasons and sharing in the club's continued success in the near future."
Player Bios:
Archie Thompson A-League Games: 184 Goals: 78 AFC Champions League Games: 15 AFC Champions League Goals: 1 Honours: 2006/07 & 2008/09 Premiership, 2007 & 2009 Championship, 2006/07 & 2009/10 Victory Medal, 2007 Joe Marston Medal, 2005/06 A-League Golden Boot

A bit of a surprise given they are both quality footballers. WSW or Newy need a RB so Bowles should be sorted while JBD could find a home in WA, Brisbane or CCM. Or even Wanderers given that they are losing Mooy.

Or it could be as simple as wanting Franjic permanently further forward I can see Franjic looking to further his career overseas. Holland or Belgium could be good leagues for him.

Not exactly a player contract but Phil Stubbins has been appointed Jerks coach until the end of 15/16. Maybe worth having the manager contracts on here too? http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/newcastlejets/news-display/Phil-Stubbins-appointed-Jets-Head-Coach/90306

Done. Mulvey, Muscat and Merrick are the ones out of contract. EM has a +1 in it though, not sure what fulfils it.

Just another update, Sernas and Ryan Edwards are confirmed departures - returning to their parent clubs with the end of their loan stints (re: no f/t deals negotiated):
