You don't want Tiote, DM's don't score. I'd personally downgrade Baines to a Chelsea/Arsenal full back, choose one of Hazard or Sanchez (Fabregas and Ramsey are both alternatives from the same club) and than try to upgrade Tiote or Ahmadi to someone like Sigurdsonn or Snodgrass.

Just imo.

You might trust them, but Tottenham scored 1.4 goals per round last year yet you have 3 players. If they have a bad week you're screwed, an average week probably still screwed. If you wanted to take the competition seriously I would downgrade 1 of them, 2 is fine IMO (Lamela and Eriksen are quality) but I would get rid of Holtby.

This is one of the better years for getting good players for reasonable prices, you're in no danger. Also I wouldn't be playing four at the back.

That's because they're all assholes :lol: Not even sure why I try and talk football with some of them, most of them are just clueless. I might change Holtby after the first couple of rounds, will see how/if he's playing week in week out.

Crouch has an easy first two weeks with Villa and Hull.
Herrera is relatively cheap at 7.5 and with a couple of good performances he'll skyrocket in value.
I'm taking the long-term approach rather than making transfers every week. Fonte should have a solid season.

tiote is going to be a bench player (cheap,plays regularly) will look into downgrading Baine's. I'll see how Sanchez goes these first couple of weeks before changing him or hazard

It's a very good team although I'd suggest a few changes.

DDG>Howard. United have much much better fixtures (Everton play all of the top teams early on iirc) and I'd bank on Utd keeping more clean sheets. If you're intent on keeping the defender in long's spot as cheap as possible (noticed you had Bertrand on the bench) you should (imo) downgrade Jedinak to a 4.5mid and upgrade Long to Chambers who will definitely play the 1st week, and then put Bertrand in R2.

It's a pretty good team,

I'd get the cheapest subs possible though (But make sure their playing), the only reason I'd spend money on subs is if I want to rotate the squad with the fixtures.

Did you mean to have Bertrand in your starting 11? I don't know much about long but I'd get rid of him as they have Chelsea first up.

As I said to afro I don't like the idea of having your defenders clashing against your Mids & Forw as you can't get maximum points each gameweek,

Giroud & Ward clash
Coutinho & Bertrand clash

Yes its a little short sighted and you shouldn't base your team all around one week, but if you make a solid plan for the first few weeks you can get a jump on competitors. The only way you'll get burnt by doing this is injuries or something unexpected ie a Ward goal and % wise that would be slim IMO.

Personally I'll be looking to bring in Ward in wk 2 as I can't see them keeping a CS against us in wk1.

For the record guys don't be making decisions solely on my advice or anyone elses, its your team and there's a reason why you've picked a player or haven't, trust your gut.

Pv4 you've obviously tried to pick a unique team, so credit for that. Keep in mind if these unique picks don't perform you'll be well and truly behind the masses and it will take multiple trades to fix, whereas if they all perform you'll skyrocket up the rankings, it's a balancing act. However it is only gameweek one, so don't feel the need to take to many risks.

As I've I said a couple of times I don't like your Mids and Forw clashing with GK and Defs, you have DDG v Shelvey & Gomis.

I don't like carrying a guys who won't play week 1 ie. BFG as they could be eased into the season and will most likely lose cash.

I'd personally go cheaper with the bench and upgrade a player or two in your midfield tbh.

Not sure how fit he is, probably best off to hit up bluemoon and see what they're saying. Could go for Kolarov instead who with the new bonus points system could be good value.
