Congrats! Having the kind of season I had last year.

I was out of town camping with the family with no coverage... hence why I had such a shit round.

I think I might just scrape through in the cup thanks to having three subs that have played.

I'm most definitely gettign knocked out of the cup, (C) Yaya didn't work so well.....

Somehow haven't dropped in any comp yet, but R_B will certainly take top spot after subs unless Bony gets sent off after fly kicking someone after a penalty miss.

Yea you can only use each one once but only one at a time.

Best to wait until the latter stages of the season when you have more cash and potential DGW's.

Currently going with Speroni-Colemann, Mertesacker, Cahill, Schlupp- Cabaye, Barkley, Hazard- Diouf, Costa, Lukaku- Krul, Payet, Bolasie, Baker.

Baker is a steal and I hope he gets game time when I use him. Villa are unfortunately in for another tough season I think.

Who will be the cheap defender who scores on day one whose chosen percentage will go up 500% by match day 2? Happens every season :D

Hopefully Baker can nail down a spot (Likewise a couple of other 4.0 defenders) [-o<

I'm hoping Austin, Remy & a few other forwards are signed (and are priced nicely). As I'm not the biggest fan of the current options.

Personally weighing up whether to go with Hazard or Fab. :-k

Doubling up on the Spurs defence is interesting Milan, not sure I'd do that but Vorm could be very tempting now.

johnszasz that's an interesting team - whats the thought process with the formation/bench? 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 are the only formations that I normally use.

I'd recommend:

that you downgrade Schlupp to Huth - pocket 0.5

Downgrade one of Cabaye, Barkly, Payet or Bolaise to a 4.5 mid.

Use the extra cash to either upgrade a mid or Diouf.

I'd also be tempted to downgrade one of your big 3 defenders as well.

I was going to go with double up in defence for spurs as our defence should be a lot more solid this year but he fractured his wrist so will miss the first few games so I will swap him for another 5.0 keeper (was thinking Adrian or Mignolet but alread have Clyne and Cresswell)

So I have gone through and made radical changes to my team, mainly to avoid any South American players who won't be involved the first few games and get Rooney in as I think he will bang them in this year, and Kane because I am biased AF.

I always like to like to make puns out of Tottenham players. Recent names have been Bale'd Out, Always take Lamela with you, Need to take Capoue and this years, HurriKane FC.

Nice team, I think you've done really well to fit in that front 3 + Hazard and have a really solid squad outside of that.

Although I'm not sure we'll get 2 4.0 defenders playing week 1 which could cause a few headaches in a few weeks time.

If I was you get another 4.5 in and bench Alderweireld for week one.

Pointless for me to post my team as its continually changing but for the most part I have a core of Azpil, Hazard, Silva, Walcott, Rooney & Kane.

Alright keep in mind that I'm giving you my thoughts based on past experience and what I think will happen, but with this game anything can happen, a defender who averages one goal every season could come out in wk 1 and score a double.

The best advice I could give to anyone is if you feel strongly about something back your self, listen to all the information out there but you need to be the one who makes the call, don't just change your team because I told you to.

Alright now you have a big 3 of Rooney, Costa & Hazard - which is very handy for captain selections.

Lukaku - I think he'll be better this season, he isn't in a lot of teams & has a good week 1 fixture (although tougher fixtures after that) Could turn out to be a nice pick.

Bolaise - has that x factor to explode, he's carrying a slight injury at the moment so track his progress and make sure he's fit for round 1.

Matic - Terrible pick he's a DM, he's not going to suddenly add assists and goals to his game, he's also taking up a valuable Chelsea spot. Just downgrade him to a 4.5 mid who will play - and you'll leave on your bench for most of the season.

Sissoko - I love how this guy plays but he's been in the prem for 2.5 seasons now and he averages 100 points a season. Is he really going to take the next step and score more points? I doubt it.

Its important that you don't take too many punts in your team, a couple is fine but when half your squad is punts on hoping that these guys will suddenly double their average. You're in trouble as it simply won't happen and you'll be a long way behind the pack and forced to use a wildcard early.

At this stage I don't see Mariappa and Baker starting week one.

Williams - There fixtures over the first 6 weeks are nothing special but they are ok. However they play Chelsea away week one, be realistic do you see Chelsea not scoring in week one? If you like Williams as an option just put him on your bench week one.

Hart - Defensively I'm not a fan of City - If I was forking out top dollar for a keeper it would be for Courtois & Cech. But even then I prefer the cheaper keepers who have a decent set of fixtures as the points per game they earn are very similar. Sometimes even better is you rotate between two goalkeepers dodging the harder fixtures for each one.

I'd have to hope Huth can score some headers. I'm normally very attacking and feel clean sheets are a challenge to get but there are always surprises.

Box scrambles which see defenders score are always nice.

I'll give Diouf a bit of a run and now Bolasie is out I might change and do a few more transfers.

I think Everton and Palace will make good starts. The promoted teams don't seem to offer so much but someone good always pops up.
