I don't care what the outcome of this is - I don't want the death penalty or looser gun restrictions. I don't want more hatred of Muslims or more dog whistles on immigration. I don't want more of my civil liberties removed.
I do, however, want the book thrown at this guy, if the cops catch him alive.

I don't think anyone would seriously advocate looser gun laws, imagine a member of the public taking things into their own hands to try and stop the guy? If anything today has shown the police are to be trusted to calmly and professionally deal with the situation in the best way possible.

Hopefully no one is hurt(except the gunman).
Some of the reporting is just shit, 3 hour discussion on if it is an IS flag.

people taking selfies. people apparently settling in on the curb with beers to watch the show. that idiot from the defence league causing trouble and getting in the way the media broadcasting the gunman's demands australian defence league tweeting to meet up and attack Lakemba tonight Ray Hadley.

This x2 for TSF and u448 Death penalty is a finality that people will commit crimes for Worst punishment that can be dished out from any perspective is life in isolation imprisonment in a tiny hole, expect this bloke to cop many many years in a pit talking to himself for company

Feel for the hostages, they don't deserve it.
Pray that they come out safely.
Very Sad Day.

I guess customers don't always come first. Lindt doesn't pay overtime - no mucking around by the employees once it's knock off time.
