Nothing wrong with 2 sides. But when rusty just posts unhinged down right dangerous rants then no, his side shouldn't be posted.

Ah the old “anyone who disagrees with me is a nazi” ruse

Don't think he will. He loves the limelight . Parler may have his audience but he thrives on being in the bright lights of the msm

Thing is if what he says is outrageous enough the media will report it and we'll all know what he's saying. I dont even have twitter but I know what he posts.

I suspect once his presidency is officially over he'll go into territory we haven't seen before.

Ok bud.  Even Barr, one of Trump's biggest sycophants, contradicts you and your ilk.

What makes Trump so infallible is that his support base behaves exactly like a cult.  Anybody, no matter how loyal to Trump, who strays from the official narrative or doctrine is immediately ex-communicated and banished from the church.  Barr, Trump appointed judges, Trump appointed election watchdog officials, republican senators, govenors. The list is endless.

Locally, look at Andrew Bolt a darling of the right who did the right thing (no pun intended) for once and argued that there is no evidence of widespread fraud and has been receiving death threats as a result.

You could say the same of the left. If you stray from the doctrines of systemic racism, white privilege, white suprmacy, gender wage gap, BLM, non binary gender theory etc, you are called a racist, fascist, misogynist, white supremacist, homophobe etc. Except the consequences are much worse. Rather than being excommunicated from the leftist cult, you are excommunicated from society, your career and reputation destroyed.

Look at J.K Rowling, a darling of the left who did the right thing (no pun intended) for once and argued that people who menstruate cannot be men, and has been receiving death threats as a result.

I guess the difference between you and me is I can see both sides of the story while you stick to just one side.

In Rustys defence, the left have this silly identity politics angle which is really on the nose for most people. The media also are to blame for this partisanship and double standards. The most obvious one for me is the COVID lockdowns in the US and then the BLM protests. There was no consistency there.

Some might call it a “silly angle”, others like myself would call it totally destructive, and a major factor in why Trump came to power in the first place.

Nobody can truly be that. We all have biases, prejudices and preconceived opinions about things.  The battle we all have is trying not to get sucked too far into the left vs right / good vs evil discourse because real life is far more complex.

I think your post election absence and your snarky juvenile comments on this thread over the last 24 hrs are a sign that you are starting to realise that things are not a simple as right = good / left = bad. Id say you are in that last-ditch state of denial prior to acceptance of a more balanced world view.

Good luck mate :)

Hahahaha, not even close mate. A “more balanced world view” would be admitting to the following

- the mainstream media is dominated by left wing ideologues
- there is a horrendous double standard when it comes to how violent left wing protestors and violent right wing protestors are covered in the media and by politicians
- hate groups like antifa and BLM are enabled and even encouraged by mainstream media and politicians
- big tech colluded with big media and Democrats to deny Americans a free and fair election
- the left have crushed free speech and these institutions are no longer welcome in schools, universities and workplaces
- American democratic values have been eroded by cancel culture and the lefts reticence to stand up for friends and colleagues with different views
- Identity politics has been leveraged to divide Americans based on race, gender, culture etc for political opportunity
- systemic racism is a BS conspiracy theory
- the Russia collusion scandal was the greatest scam in the history of American politics

Some of those conditions above (including many more) is what gave rise to the Trump movement in the first place. The interesting thing is there has been no correction from the left, in fact they have swung harder to the left and with the wind in their sails they probably think that have a mandate to roll out their nutty agenda with no end in sight to their nuttiness. Today its packing the courts with progressives and adding new states, tomorrow its assigning two votes to black voters and jailing Trump voters. No even kidding.

I never said it was as simple as right = good, left = bad, but many on here and out there seem to have real difficulty admitting that anything the left is doing is a problem. They always hide behind Donald Trump, as if he is the manifestation of pure evil, and that anything the left does pales in comparison.

It always starts as a bad joke. But if you repeat a bad idea enough it end up taking on a semblance of credibility. Court packing, defunding police, systemic racism, adding new states, Russia collusion, reparations, men can have periods and babies, women can have dicks, all examples of the insane becoming sane through repeated exposure. Hilter and other dictators have used similar tactics.

Mate you're beyond parody.  Just to take one example from above.  McConnel is on record saying, in an interview with Bill O'Reilly, that they actively blocked Obama's appointments for judges for years so that when Trump came in they could stack the courts with their appointees.  Literally dozens and dozens.  You're either stupid or wilfully ignorant to try and pretend that didn't happen and then claim the Democrats are going to do it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtPgUrVPXeI&list=PLV6Qc21U3jVI0UrNHpsShOF1M-qza4d6A&index=21&t=0s

I actually don't mind you saying that the democrats doing this, if they do, is bad, because it is, provided you acknowledge that your mob is in it up to their eyeballs as well.

But you won't so you can't be taken seriously.

Regardless, blocking appointments (which all sides of politics do) is vastly different from creating new positions on the SCOTUS, which even Biden and other Democrats had previously lamented. It creates a precedent whereby whoever controls congress and the senate can expand the court to their liking, ad infinitum, discrediting the court and its independence from the judiciary.

Geez plumbed ancient history for that but good on you.  Did that take long?

Wait, are you conceding a minor point?

Not sure why you have your knickers in a knot the Supreme court is 6-3 conservative thanks to hypocrisy, blocking of Obama's pick and ignoring of long held traditions of not appointing new judges during an election.

I don’t have a dog in the Trump V Biden fight, but this post is bang on.

The reason I had to plumb that from history is because mainstream sources barely mention it. They are all over the part about how Mcconnell filibustered Obama appointees but they dont mention the part where Democrats filibustered Bush appointees, I can only assume because its inconvenient to their argument that Republicans are bad. Better to bury something deep in the catacombs of history rather than trying to explain it and making a fool of yourself. Of course if the shoe was on the other foot every story would lead with ‘IN 2003 REPUBLICANS FILIBUSTERED DEMOCRAT COURT APPOINTEES’ and it would be common knowledge.

Oh.  So you're saying the right leaning press in the US like Breitbart, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Foxnews, NY Post (and other Murdoch rags), are actively not reporting on Democrats being 'bad' because......reasons?.

Hahaha just watching Trump concede on the news.  After winding up all his supporters yesterday and sending them down to the Capitol building today he threw them all under the bus.

To demonstrators who infiltrated the Capitol: you have defiled the seat of American democracy. To those who engage in the acts of violence and destruction: you do not represent our country. And to those who broke the law: you will pay.

Wonder what all those clowns that trashed the joint are thinking now.

Isnt it refreshing to see a politician hold his supporters accountable, unlike the macabre alliance between antifa, blm and  the Democrats?
