There was a guy in the Melbourne City supporter group caught on camera yelling. Apparently he wore what Squires calls a coral coloured shirt.

Squires was interviewed by FS Magazine which is some kind of UK Lad mag. The interview carries a pic of "the man" and spreads Kerem Bulut's fame even further. It looks like you can't post images here any more so here's (I hope) a link to the tweet https://twitter.com/christhebarker/status/831803246746402816

Here it is, the cock tifo edition: https://www.theguardian.com/football/ng-interactive/2017/feb/22/david-squires-on-the-red-and-black-blocs-homophobic-bannerWho won the bet, or is it somewhere in the middle? Ok. As black and white as I can think: If he implies that anybody questioning how the banner is homophobic is the one with a problem (or words to that effect) you owe me $20. If he references the banner, but doesn't imply this, $20 is coming your way.

+xLmao the 3rd panel, wheres Mack? Lol. I'm definitely not using this as an excuse, but I think the "Tard" banner in terms of "hateful" speech was worse. But the visual nature of the crude image obviously made this worse in other ways.

+x+xI don't understand the bet hahahah -PB The terms very much subjective, to be sure. Wamackie wins the bet on this one. The whole strip is about the banner and he questions those who think there was nothing wrong with it, but not necessarily those (like myself) who didn't find the banner homophobic in and of itself. A banner mocking Sydney FC fans for frequenting The Tool Shed qualifies, but not this one. The culprits deserved to be penalised, and there's no place in our game for banners depicting such base, immature vulgarity like that in our game- especially when we're trying to convince as many families as possible to spend money on the A-League instead of the BBL... However- if you've never once lamented that a person, group, business, movement, idea or thing you held in disdain could "suck your dick" then feel free to cast that stone in screaming homophobia. Otherwise, quit the virtue-signalling. I'd much rather be talking about this weekends' coming matches and I'm sure that (regardless of their sexual preference) most other fans feel the same...
Oh and Wamac- PM me your Paypal/ bank details...

Otherwise, quit the virtue-signalling. Nah that's bullshit. Plenty of people might have thought that or said that to someone in the past and have since lamented it having learnt why it's wrong. Those people are more than welcome to educate others.
