A question for some Queenslanders, would the BPL and NPLQ be about the same level?
I'll work on getting the BPL into the data before I post an update, it might take a while though.

Depends on who you ask, but I think most would agree that the top few sides in the BPL would match the top few sides in the NPL.

thewitness... you might like to keep in mind that NPL in the Football NSW federation is being restructured as of the 2016 season. NPL1 will stay with 12 teams. NPL2 will be expanded to 14 teams including teams from Sydney FC and Wanderers. NPL3 is being created with 12 teams in place of State League 1, and State League 2 will become State League.

Additionally the review of licences for the Victory League NPL in Tasmania has seen Launceston City retain its licence but Glenorchy is being replaced by Clarence.

My understanding is that South Australia is also changing in 2016, with a third division being created under the current NPL State League.

The NPL will be cut to 12 teams (from 14), and the NPL State League will be cut to 12 (from 16). The new 3rd Division will have the bottom 6 teams from this years NPL State League, plus a couple of new teams I believe.

I give brand new clubs a starting value equal to the bottom club in the division they start in or the club that has been relegated out.

So why bother with them if they are irrelevant? :shock:

As there has only been 1 inter-league match (FFA Cup) featuring the NT teams, I had to give them a low starting point, otherwise the data would be too biased until they play more games which now won't happen until the FFA Cup 2016.
The BPL's Lions FC's big win away to Croydon in the Cup has seen them come in near the top.
Oakleigh's draw with FNQ Heat means the VIC teams slip a bit, and WA's continued losses in the FFA Cup, means they fall even further.

One reason for that result is that the Campbelltown squad was severely depleted due to the inability of many players who were unable/unwilling to get time off work.

For Newcastle to drop out of the top 10.
It will take either of Victory or Wanderers losing, and both Victorian NPL teams winning or MetroStars flogging Oakleigh.
If both Victorian teams win manage big wins in the Cup, its possible South Melbourne can catch the Jets even if Victory and Wanderers win by small margins.
