My only slight enjoyment comes from looking at Jimmy Anderson's face.

So just avoided the last test being over within 2 days. Going to take a miracle to avoid it here.

That pitch has so much grass on it Ellen DeGeneres is trying to eat it.

If England get out for sub-100 (some how) than serious questions need to be asked of the curators imo. If they go on to make a monster score and Australia lose incredibly badly, than heads need to roll asap. Clarke would be first stop. -PB

-PB England will score 400, win by an innings and the 5th test will be called off for shame.

- Quickest any team has ever been bowled out for in the first innings of a test and third quickest innings in Ashes history (18.3 overs)
- Equal ninth lowest total in Ashes history (60 all out)
- Fourth best bowling figures in an innings in Ashes history (Broad 8/15)
- Equal fastest five wicket haul by a bowler in test history (19 balls)
Any more?

Rod Marsh is starting to look like an idiot. Peter Siddle is ideal for this track. The English commentators certainly think so.

Maybe cricket needs a National Curriculum.
The technique was shit batting. Most of the batsmen were squared up and playing the ball well and truly in front of the body. Never mind the fact they didn't leave much at all.
What goes through their heads?
There are some real technical problems with the Australian batsmen.

r.e bell's dismissal, how can a player and a commentator be so unconvinced of a decision when Hawkeye says it is out, bell was shaking his head and the pommy commentator on 9 wasn't happy Not a huge cricket follower so I'm a bit simple on the matter

Drs is meant to get rid of the howler
I think the rules need to be changed to reflect this if a commentator thinks a mathematical algorithm is less reliable than his eye that tells him that the ball would have missed the stumps by a millimeter they howl injustice :D

The Maco and grazorblade
But it's not just one commentator who thinks some of the decisions are suspect. I've heard any number think some look suss. And I've seen plenty which I think are suss.
It may be a mathematical algorithm, but it doesn't mean it's done properly. A couple of years ago, I recall a rival hawk-eye company disputed ICC predictive hawk-eye.
We shouldn't take it as gospel. I have no issues with descriptive hawk-eye. But predictive can be a bit funny.

Bird has had a fair few injuries in the last few years from memory.
