My ultimate goal would be for the Terrograph to retract the story and issue an apology and for Bec Wilson to get the sack. Something which can't come soon enough. I would love to see the football fans unite and see it happen.

An apology is useless. The damage has been done.

Even if it was an apology, given the way the Telegraph do apologies it'd be some tiny little thing that everyone would miss.

Thats a classic news corp way of apology . They done it in every paper murdoch owns around the world. Hell they did a small apology when andrew bolt got sued and got told they had to make a full oage apology

If they do get sued and people can prove loss of livelihood (ie. Job loss) then an apology wouldn't suffice.

Good luck suing even if you have a case a half decent lawyer is about $500 an hour and we don't live in America where you can be awarded millions so you really are rolling the dice.

Cases take years and whatever satisfaction they get monetarily and morally will be swamped by defence costs.

Unfortunately Newscunce have a bottomless pit of cash and you, me and the unfairly banned blokes don't.

Edit: Grammar and spelling.

From her wiki page:

"She is also a raging alcoholic who has a rare skin disease where she must apply feces to her forehead, cheeks and chin to maintain structure.

Rebbeca has won 'best in the west' award for street work particularly around Eastern Creek industrial area, with majority of her clientele from the 2GB network, apart from Alan Jones who is a well known homosexual".

If people had greater critical and evidenced based thinking skills, articles like these would have less influence. But people wilfully allow non-evidenced based teaching (religion) to occur in primary and secondary school education. So the die is set in childhood. As a result, you get wilfully ignorant adults who disparage academia and science, while embracing tabloid journalism.

Begin by behaving yourselves.

Here's a link you can access. http://www.news.com.au/news/nsw/red-card-the-banned-football-fans-from-10-a-league-clubs/story-fni0cx12-1227618277879

If guilty (IF) then I have no sympathy.

In a system with no right to appeal, with undeclared evidence, etc., that's a huge IF though, isn't it?

Doubt it, it's doing the FFA's work for them.

Everyone has a rant at the media.

but End-of-day,

- Dickheads more aware that they may be banned
- Sponsors see their investment as less risky
- 'Families' see that something's being done about safety worries

These 2 posts seem to me to be fairly equivalent to the sort of stuff Jones and Wilson say. No matter the topic you somehow manage to get back to attacking that thing you don't like, regardless of how tenuous the links. Religion in schools is to blame for people reading/listening to Wilson/Jones? Come on mate.

You realise it could quite easily be your mug shot dug up from a crappy facebook pic because you were in the wrong place at the wrong time?
You could be banned because you walked out the front of your house in your wanderers jersey on a tuesday whilst kids were playing with fireworks in the street.

Being completely ignorant makes you no better then the Rebecca Wilsons of the world.

Here's one I prepared earlier. (In another thread.)

munrubenmuz wrote:
Excluding those falsely named and banned, those banned for entry onto the field of play and underage persons I find it rather ironic that blokes are actually whinging about this (and people of the forum are defending them.)

For years the FFA and the police have been giving warnings about flares and grubby behaviour and what do the vast majority of forumites say here about it?

Mostly next to fuck all. The majority are blathering on week after week about how flares should be allowed, how blokes fighting in the street have nothing to do with football, how breaking chairs an vandalizing stadiums is nothing to worry about and it's worse in other codes or some other bullshit.

Well guess what? Turns out if you act like a fuckwit and break the law your name and picture can be plastered on the front page of the paper.

The chickens have well and truly come home to roost.

The blokes banned and named for taking flares get the least amount of sympathy from me because they were warned repeatedly not to do it and what did they do? Took them anyway, like it was a giant game to give the coppers the big middle finger.

Well who's laughing now.

Flame away flare chuckers, vandals and grubby brawlers.
