My name is Cameron - when I was younger and playing role-playing games etc. I couldn't come up with a decent character name, so just spelled my name with a sort of "fantasy-esque" spelling. And since I use it for steam, and psn, and a heap of other things, it stuck for other forums as well.

Back when I was obsessed with classic rock and devouring rock biographies and regurgitating the information gained to anyone who would listen to my drunken rantings a mate said to me geez what are you some kind of.........

Two moths later trying out internet music forums I needed something and this popped into my head.

Way back in year 9 I was making a new game or messaging account in computing studies and the program had the option of generating a new name based upon your real name. It came back with Cranky the Chillbilly and random string of numbers. I didn't think I was cranky so took just the chillbilly part. My first and last names are fairly common and chillbilly, at least to start with, didn't need a string of random numbers afterwards to create unique user account so I started using it more often.
