CSL average attendance changes: this year, the League will starts expansion, the CL2 will be expand to 20 clubs in 2016, and the expansion plan is like this: CSL: 17 clubs in 2021, 18 clubs in 2022 CL1: 17 clubs in 2017, and in the following 4 years there will be 1 more club added to the League every year, CL1 will have 20 clubs in 2020 CL2: expand starts from 2016, 2016 CL2 will have 20 clubs, until 2027, the CL2 will keep a scale of 48 clubs! 4th Level will be added and there will be promotion/relegation between 4th level and CL2. Independent research institute Weining Sports had published financial report for CSL 2015, and in 2015 season, the League as a whole has a total income of 3.2 billion RMB (440.64 million EUR), The League's management company, The CSL Company has a total income of 96.39 million EUR, 20.66 million EUR from title sponsor,73.81 million EUR from other sponsorship and adervitising, includes 10.1981 million EUR from broadcasting rights.the CSL company has a revenue of 53.75 million EUR Main Income of the CSL company in 2015 Official Title sponsor : Ping An insurance 20.925 million EUR Official partener Nike:15.345 million EUR Ledman Optoelectronic: 6.2775 m EUR Ford:5.301 m EUR JD.COM: 4.185 m EUR DHL: 4.185m EUR Carlsberg: 2.79m EUR Blueflame Media: 2.79m EUR Official supplier: Shell:2.79m EUR Braodcasting Rights: 10.1981 m EUR the 16 CSL clubs has a total income of 2.5 billion RMB (344.25 million EUR), includes the share bonus from CSL company, each club gots 2.15 million EUR. the League (CSL Company + 16 clubs) has a total expenditure of 4 billion RMB (570.86 million EUR), CSL Loses 130.22 million EUR last season, the highest losses in CSL history. Expendture of CSL clubs in genaral Under the new broadcast deal (1.1 billion EUR for five years and 137.7 million for next season), the CSL officers estimated the total incomes of CSL 2016 will exceed 4 billion RMB (570.86 million EUR), ant least 6 clubs will reach profitablity.the CSL company is expecting to have total income of 192.9 million EUR in 2016 season, and a revenue of 165.4 million EUR, each club is expecting to recoeve a share bonus of at least 9.26 million EUR. Guangzhou is still the best, Is not because they have better attacking line but they have the best defensive collection in CSL. CSL is not like a walk in the garden to Guangzhou Evergrande in recent seasons, the top 2 or 3 clubs all have European class forwards so some times the results is decided by who lost fewer. But this year Shanghai SIPG has better chances to win the Vulcan Cup (CSL Trophy) than previous season, Shandong and Beijing are also potentiallly contenders, Jiangsu is also hopeful although they ********ed themself off in Vietnam, but I think it is a expectable results as the team actually only played together for 5 or 6 days, Hebei CFFC still need further observision as newly promoted team while Shanghai Greenland Shenhua, they are wankers the most interesting part is most of these above clubs had annouced or indicated they want to win the ACL in five years or some simmilar plan etc, so it made the CSL looks like a ambitious League to people outside China, I still believe the big spending tendency is bacause these clubs have no chioce but to do so in order to catch up teams like GE or SIPG and to make fans and sponsors happy so that the clubs could keep their face as "powerhouse" etc. Edited by greenlionii: 27/2/2016 07:10:32 下午

Thanks for the update Greenlionii! That's a lot of awesome info. :)
It's amazing watching the CSL grow the way it is. Quite incredible. Expanding their lower levels will see a lot of professional clubs start to rise. China has the a LOT of cities with millions of people, so it may as well.
Hopefully this will be Guoan's year.

LeEco has snapped up the Internet rights for the league in Hong Kong, Macau, mainland China, Taiwan, India, the United States, Canada and several Southeast Asian countries for the next two seasons. it is the same company that shows A-League,K-League and J-League online in China, so I guess maybe a negotiation of CSL rights in Australia is in progress

Date: 3 MARCH 2016 The IMG agency has agreed a two-season deal for the global television rights to the Chinese Super League, the top tier of domestic football in the country.
IMG struck the deal with China Sports Media, the competition’s rights holder. The agreement will cover the 2016 season, which begins tomorrow (Friday) and the 2017 campaign. The deal, which excludes mainland China, also includes the option to extend.
As part of the agreement, IMG will serve as a television production consultant for the CSL. The agency has also secured in-flight rights to the competition.
Michael Mellor, senior vice-president and head of football for IMG Media, said: “The CSL is one of the new hot properties in league football following their recent investment in top players from the main European leagues. There is increased interest in the league which continues to grow in stature each season. We are delighted to be helping them expand international coverage and have already received strong interest in a number of territories including in the UK, Europe, Brazil, the Middle East and Asia.”
CSL clubs have been cast under the spotlight in recent weeks due to their high-profile dealings in the transfer market. Jiangsu Suning was one of the teams to grab the headlines with moves for Brazilian internationals Ramires and Alex Teixeira for a combined fee believed to be in the region of £65m (€84m/$91.4m).
IMG has an existing relationship with the CSL, having provided strategic advice and insight and represented some of the league’s centralised sponsorship packages.

If we had those sort of names they have, the money they have and the population they have we'd blow the CSL out of the water.
Our crowds, considering all this are quite good.

Huge Chinese population here in Oz, plus the league is exploding in terms of growth. I'm sure the CSL would be happy to expand the broadcasting to other countries, especially if they want their league to be numero uno in Asia.

https://wildeastfootball.net/2016/06/chinese-fa-mulls-rule-change-to-cut-number-of-foreign-players-in-csl/Quote:In a policy adjustment which could have significant ramifications for the CSL, the Chinese FA is considering reducing the number of foreigner player clubs can register, in time for the 2018 season. The news emerged at CFA meeting in Guizhou province yesterday. According to a Tencent Sports report, no final decision on the policy has been made but the tentative plan is for next season to be a transitional year to allow clubs to adjust their squads before changing the 4+1 foreign player quota to 3+1. interesting havent been to china for about 3 years , but before that was there regularly for work... I wonder how the sporting landscape has changed there. Given china might change their foreigner ruling , and other codes making inroads there it has the possibility of making the league weaker

Well yes AFL for one... A lot of noise about how Port and AFL have secured TV deals with chinese tv and going by reports ( very anecdotal ) millions of viewers have tuned it.. But also NBA is making inroads to China as well
on a side note. NFL tried expanding in Europe and failed big time... So next market for them would be China

Zhang Dazhong, CEO of Alisports, signed the agreement with World Rugby chairman Bernard Lapasset and chief executive Brett Gosper in which the sports arm of e-commerce giant Alibaba will pump in millions of dollars into the development of the sport in China. "We hope to have one million players in 10 years time," said Zhang. “China’s a huge market. We all know that,” Goodell said. “Anyone who’s in business here, you know you want to reach important markets. That’s an important market for us. If we can make inroads there, we think that’s important for us long-term in our global strategy of making football more popular on a global basis.
