-Where do I start. Leaving home today to go to class, i checked the mail and found a letter from JMC (my uni). It was a Receipt of Assignment, showing they'd received my essay. However, it also said that I'd handed it in late, which I hadn't. I went up to the admin/reception girls (Who are complete and utter cunts), and asked what was going on. They reckon that it was due tuesday (the day of the class). It wasn't, I know for sure that my teacher said it was due the end of the week, and I know for sure that they told us on the orientation day written assignments are due end of the week. Bitches wouldn't have any of it. Told me and my mate to check our assignment briefs and class briefs because they said it was due Tuesday. (Guess what, it doesn't say shit about handing it on the day of the class). We told em they were wrong, they told us there was nothing we could do. We have to wait till we get our mark back, and then appeal. Because we 'handed it in late' the most I can get, is a bare pass, 50%.

-I then found out that my studio class has been moved to Wednesday's 8-midnight. The last train home is 12.08. I'm not going to make that train, which means I'm stuck in the city. #-o There's no way I can make that class.

This may not seem like much, but its a culmination of just how fucking shit this place is. We didn't get our booklists until a week before classes started. Not too bad, except it turns out the nearby bookstore didn't get the booklist until the same time. So no one had their books for the first 4/5 weeks, because they were waiting for them to be ordered in. We've been jerked around with class times, the organisation of the place is incredibly shit. The classes themselves are fine, but I could run the place better ffs. I want to stay and finish this course because it's what I want to do for a living, but fuck they're doing their best to convince me otherwise.

They have to do it to give everybody studio time. Your studio class is a group of four (because that's all you can fit in the control room) so when there's around 80 odd students, five possible days, with four hour sessions, you run out of options when you can have classes.

I don't deal craps. It's a fucking hard game to deal properly. But that brings me around nicely to my worst:
I was on big wheel tonight, doing great, breaks every hour because there was one less table in my rotation. All cruisy, but THEN, I caught my hand in the wheel, jagged up my thumb and all up the side of my hand real bad, there was blood pouring out the end of my thumb and I started tripping balls, I stagger back and hit my head on the pillar behind me and knock myself out. They sent me home because I couldn't deal.

Best: I scored a free cab-charge card out of all that.

Lucky for me then, that I did read the handbook. Where it says nothing about the day of the class. It just says "the due date" and then says to refer to the unit assessment brief. Which we already did. The assessment brief and the unit overview have no mention of "the day of the class", it just says week 7. And the fact is, our teacher said we could hand it in on the Friday. So that's what we did.



I may very well be come next semester.

Why the fuck did they give you a copy of last year's handbook?? I've got this year's floating around here somewhere and I'm pretty sure it says the day of class in it. Anyway, if the teacher said that it was due friday, who are the office bitches to stipulate? If you van get him to confirm it was due friday, go with that. Which teacher was it? Hugh?

The courses are structured differently so that you can't jump ship mid-coruse. You'd have to start over.
