If you used Itunes to buy songs then LOL.

Use torrents for albums, limewire (P2p) for single tracks. You have to teach yourself.

I just use torrents for single tracks anyway, when loading it into Utorrent, just unselect the tracks you don't want.

It's cheaper to go to JB and buy the albums.

Torrents are a great way of spreading virusses.

Thanks for the tip funky.. I do that when a discography for example has more seeds than a torrent for just one album. Then I everything bar the album in the discography torrent.;)

Well there's your problem. Unless you're downloading a HD video the audio is only 96kbps. A CD is 320kbps.

So how do you avoid getting a virus from a program that sources downloads from a theoretically unlimited number of computers mr "I know how to beat the impossible"?

I only download from the one site, which requires a membership, which is obtained either by invite, or registration which only opens up 1/2 days a month. Check comments before downloading anything, to see if any problems have been noted, if so, I don't go near it. Plus I scan everything as soon as I've downloaded it.

It's not foolproof, never said it was, because as you noted, that's impossible. But hey, I've been downloading from torrents for over a year now, haven't got a single virus from it.

The thing is, you've got an unlimited and variable network set up by these computers and once an infection goes viral. It's going to spread rapidly through the aid of torrents. And no matter how good your virus-scanner is, it's really not going to help.

Erm no, like I said, the site requires membership, so the network of seeds for a torrent is based only within people who are members of the site. And it seems to be helping just fine atm, so I'm quite happy as is.
