They're in an extremely solid position but it's not over. Tokyo goal from corner on 2 then a goal on 8 and suddenly it gets very nervous. Need to focus big time one more time!

Yokohama has to avoid losing by 4 goals next week, so perfect time to shut up shop, defend like hell and win the title. Ange will do that and play it safe, right?

It was 4-2 to Tokyo last time they met but looks like the form guide has reversed big time. Even when yokohama were going through rough patches they were still scoring. Its one of those weird ones where to pull it off they would be looking at something like 2-6. The scenario plays right into Ange's hands, Marinos will get bucket loads of chances on the counter. Then again at home they may play defensive Ange Ball and just deny Tokyo the ball for long enough periods to eliminate the threat. My gut feeling is Yokogame will smash them.

Are we sure they don't use the head to head record instead of goal difference for tie breakers? Because if they do, Tokyo would just need to win by any score next week.

+xAre we sure they don't use the head to head record instead of goal difference for tie breakers? Because if they do, Tokyo would just need to win by any score next week. Eighteen clubs will play in double round-robin (home and away) format, a total of 34 games each. A club receives 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, and 0 points for a loss. The clubs are ranked by points, and tiebreakers are, in the following order:
Goal differential Goals scored Head-to-head results Disciplinary points A draw would be conducted, if necessary. However, if two clubs are tied for first place, both clubs will be declared as co-champions. The top three clubs will qualify to the following year's AFC Champions League, while the bottom two clubs will be relegated to J2. The third club will play a playoff against the J2 playoffs-winning team.

I'm going to assume it's GD as teams equal on points on the table see the superior GD as ahead. Looking at the table on their official site it would appear that GD is the first tiebreaker as opposed to head to head, given that Gamba Osaka is ahead of Vissel Kobe, despite the latter team having the better head to head record.

Today ruled out Ange facing Victory in the ACL qualification playoff, we'll get one of Kashima Antlers, Kawasaki Frontale or Pierce Waring's Cerezo Osaka (he won't be in the squad), that's if we beat the winner of Tampines Rovers and Bali United at home first.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

+xExactly how much harder is coaching a team to win J-League compared to winning the A-League? what leagues do you watch? for comparison it's probably like going from 3rd or 4th division in england to the premier league.

+xExactly how much harder is coaching a team to win J-League compared to winning the A-League? Well Vissel Kobe with Iniesta, David Villa, Podolski and Vermaelen are in 10th, so I guess it's pretty tough.

That's definitely a bigger gap than I expected; was thinking around one div. Thanks
