I think the draft is balanced enough as it is that once you hand out concessions it loses some of the fun.  Maybe some rewards like maybe a double captain option where for one week a player in your teams core counts x2.

its double dipping.   they get a free choice and that means more money to spend in the auction on other players.  maybe if its 20 mill again they should get whoever they want for $5 mill.  or just and extra bump in their wages. 

how about prize money for champion and european spots?  so the champion gets $7 million bonus, 2nd gets $6 mill and so on until 7th gets $1 million extra.  it kind of reflects the game in that top teams still compete for players but they have more money.

Stand by that idea. If not retainers the top player simply gets 2 free choices before the auction. Remaining players in top 4 get 1 free choice.
