Got a few photos on the proposed site at the Showgrounds for a future boutique stadiums.
While I'm not a surveyor, there really does seem like plenty of room to make it happen.

I don't think anyone plays on that ground Walnuts which is why it wouldn't be an issue.

Bump. My opening post was pretty spot on.

Basically the bid has proposed to play out of Casey Field with temporary stands until the Dandenong Stadium is built.
What i don't understand is the bid didn't put major pressure onto the Vic Government for funding whilst the election process was on.
Neither party were committal on it but with Council support it's an opportunity missed.
All they had to do was the AFL mantra and say the stadium would be used for the Women's World Cup and voila the cash is ready for distribution haha
