+x--------------------------Ryan ---------Wright---- Sainsbury----- Degenek -----------------Milligan --------Mooy --Leckie------Rogic-----------------Kruse----------Behich ------------------------------Juric I had a choice, Milligan in defence or midfield but ultimately chose Milligan in midfield as that partnership with Mooy can really help us control the game. I read an AAP report that suggested at least two changes, one of which was the inclusion of Ryan McGowan.

Ange should just stick with the same back 3 to get them familiar instead of chopping and changing every match.

It sounds reasonable to rotate other positions, especially the two wide players who are putting in enormous shifts, but yeh, I agree of all the positions to rotate, it's your three defenders you'd rather not rotate.

we sure are, even more so if R McGowan plays. But even if he doesn't, there are no real options in the squad to replace him, because Ange chose the biggest defensive muppets he could find (bar Sains). Can't believe at least one of Wilkinson\R Williams, hell even Cameron Burgess, aren't in this squad. They would at least provide some depth in defence of the ball playing-type defenders that are needed in a back 3, not absolute hacks like McGowan and Wright. Can't really comment on D McGowan because I haven't seen him play much, Adelaide were so pish last year I avoided watching them. Anyone think he could be a realistic option in the back 3?

At times during this season i thought maybe but then the next game id just be shaking my head. Harsh to pass judgment until he is given the chance

Interesting side note. The Cameroon coach only replaced players in the 86th and 89th minute. Question mark over the depth of his squad. If so, could be good for us. If we can score a couple we would also put some pressure on Chile in the later game as they will need a result then to take some of the challenge out of the final game.

Cameroon Squad - the level most of these guys are playing isn't too different to our boys. Aboubakar probably the best known player and the biggest threat to us. Anyone got any idea on the formation they play?

If Ryan McGowan gets picked Ange should be sacked on the spot, picking me would only be a slightly worse mistake. McGowan is so far from good enough it should be obvious to Ange and I am struggling to understand what Ange is thinking. Dylan McGowan may not be any better than his brother, I am not sure on that but at least Ange could say that he has not previously shown himself to be not good enough so deserves a chance. Selecting both McGowan's in the squad ahead of Wilkinson was a massive error, and there are plenty of other options who I think are probably better including Devere, Mrcela and Jovanovic. Burgess is a young emerging player who could have been selected on that basis even though he might not be quite ready yet.

they look like they have a decent starting 11 but the bench doesn't have a huge pedigree.

Reckon two/three changes will be made:
McGowan > Degenek or Wright Troisi/Kruse/Irvine > Luongo And maybe Gersbach > Behich

Pretty sure they had a back 4 last game and they had lots of gaps in midfield. Without Jedinak we didn't have the typical aerial dominance but Cameroon are short in the centre so Irvine might come in somewhere.
Their defenders are monsters which make set plats a real danger. That's why I expect at least a tall back 3. The rest of our side is pretty short.
