It is now blatantly apparent that Bert suffers from the same problem that dogged Ange....what’s your plan B ?
Do plan A better.
Peru were going home....hadn’t even scored a goal....feeling low......had nothing to play for but pride
Perfect time for a more fresh mobile attacking line up to press hard early and do everything to score in the first 30mins....and really knock their confidence...and close out the match
Then to expect Cahill and Arzani to do the impossible at 2 - 0 down......phffffftttt! Wasted opportunity to play them on the front foot from the outset
Really disappointing end to the campaign, not one goal from open play, I expected more versatility from Bert (horses for courses) ......in the end....he flattered to deceive

+x+xNot blaming BVM on any of this. Is what it is. We can't finish. They did ^ Yep. No manager could do any more with this team.....Ange knew that very well himself. Without Cahill, Jedinak, and Milligan in the coming cycle I genuinely worry we wont even qualify for 2022....Arnold is inferior to both BVM and Ange, and we will be losing several important players that have bailed us out over the years I'm not, we seem to have a number of genuinely good young talent coming through.

Only thing i'd say BVM has fucked up is the fitness/rotation of our players. This 2nd half every single player looks dead on their feet

+xReading these posts, it’s amazing how rubbish the team and BVM have become in 25 minutes. LolNever forget, our coach only had 30 days preparation with the team. And we know whose fault that is. I'm not mad at BVM or the team so much. I want BVM to stay on. I'm convinced if he did and had more time and influence over this squad, we'd have a lot less "should've" games and a lot more actual results. It's this taking pride in losing bravely and being the underdog mentality the general public tolerates that I'm mad about- as I have detailed already...

The future isnt totally bleak (young talent at least looking better than it has in the past few years) but I worry about who will step up to replace Cahill, Jedinak, and Milligan in the immediate cycle. Arzani has shown plenty of promise but we desperately need a striker, a holding midfielder, a decent centreback, and a good coach. Not sure where any of those will come from right now....
