+xyou'd have to say we'll pass last year but fall short of the record. the stagnant nature of membership numbers is yet another reason why we so despertately need expansion. What's the record? We might actually push 120-125k this year (if you count those late 5 game memberships as part of the numbers - which the HAL does).

Victory are doing a huge push to get the numbers up to 30k (not gonna happen). lots of emails and social media. they've offering a 5 game membershhip + free ACL combo atm.

Or maybe football fans are simply not interested in a Fox subscription and are seeking out alternative more cost effective sources to watch the games live. It's also important to note that TV ratings are down for all sports, both here and overseas. People consume media differently now, content providers need to listen to the public in change.

There are anecdotal reports from some analysist I have read that are indicating the Fox & Telstra streaming is near equal the Fox ratings. I have no idea if this is true, if fact the figures are being kept tight to the chest we are told. However even if partly true it does explain the down turn.
