Have to admit looks pretty ordinary on paper, could surprise us though.

Which paper are you 'reading'. He was technically a Bundesliga player for 11 seasons.

Club
Year
Games Goals Assists
Schalke 04 04/05 0 0 0
Schalke 04 05/06 1 0 0
Schalke 04 06/07 1 0 0
Schalke 04 06/07 3 0 0
Borussia M 08/09 28 3 8
Bayern M 09/10 3 0 1
Schalke 04 09/10 11 0 2
Schalke 04 10/11 9 0 0
Schalke 04 11/12 8 0 2
Hertha BSC 13/14 9 0 4
Hertha BSC 15/16 24 1 2
Those stats don't impress me much on any level except maybe back in 08/09 with 8 assists and 3 goals.
Look at game time also, really on two good solid seasons under his belt at that level, 08/09 and 15/16.

I remember watching him in his breakout season with Gladbach and he looked awesome. He then moved to Bayern and never really featured. It kind of halted his career. Schalke revived him but he has always been very injury prone. But from what I remember of him he was a very gifted player, but that was when he was a young player. I saw he moved to Brazil so his wife could be close to family. Babble must beleive he still has his old spark in him.

Lets hope he finds that form again, stats still mean nothing at the end of the day and it is the A-League after all.

Moved to Brazil for love.
Hopefully Babbel gets him right.
So the Wanderers have 5 foreigners in the squad (2 Spaniards, 1 Dutchman and 2 Germans) probably till December when Zeigler gains citizenship barring Govt interference.

He sounds quite a lot like Broich before he came here. Could be an excellent pick-up.
