it still staggers me that we could end up being suspended from international competition because of the Lowy's pig headedness.
It really makes me wonder why they are fighting so hard to stop the Congress findings being passed... there has to be another reason other than they simply think it will give too much power to the professional game.
Successful business people are nothing if not practical...they normally know when to walk away from a losing situation...why have they not walked away from this one ?
What is their possible gain here ?
Curiouser and curiouser....!!!

Lowys now telling government departments what to do maybe ?
Boy they must really have something big to hide. This is getting ridiculous . It seems everyone in the footballing world wants the new Congress to be ratified ..except the Lowys , their "owned" board and a few "tinpot" federations  .
BTW ...has anyone actually asked any FFA Board members (other than Lowy) for their opinions ?

The Lowy family are heavy contributors to the Liberal party...  Amazing how much influence you can have over the government when you give them a shit load of cash each year.

Mid November is the crucial date for the Lowy's/FFA I believe.  If they can stagger to that the files can be disposed of and the handover completed.  Nothing suss.

I would be surprised if they are not significant contributors to the Labor party as well.... most big businesses hedge their bets with Political parties.

Well, they've got the EGM beyond the FIFA committees September meeting date now, so I don't know when the next one is after that.

Then, If the EGM votes down the CRWG recommendations, the AGM will go ahead as normal I guess in the meantime

I'm not sure when the last date for the AGM can be.

Yes it is interesting that no journo or commentator other than Bonita Mersiades has even mentioned the November cut off date for keeping records of those World Cup bid grant monies..I can only assume ...either Bonita is completely wrong and all the other journos/commentators know this .....or.... they are all scared of (a) losing their jobs (at the Lowy's insistance) or (b) they are worried about being sued ...either way the power of big money holds sway once again...
...and Bonita, whether you are right or wrong .....you are to be admired for your guts and saying things as you see them
