+x1. City 2. Sydney 3. Victory 4. Perth 5. Adelaide 6. Newcastle 7. CCM 8. Brisbane 9. WSW 10. Nix GF winner: City JW medal: Isaias Golden boot: Fornaroli Should be a really tight league this year, especially if the Mariners can sign Oar and McCormack and the Nix sign Martins and another DM. I honesty believe anyone can make finals this year. I also wouldn't be overly surprised if Sydney or Victory end up in mid table either. I'm going to change my predictions. 1. Sydney 2. City 3. Adelaide 4. Perth 5. Victory 6. CCM 7. Newcastle 8. Nix 9. Brisbane 10. WSW My new GF winner will be Sydney, my new JW will be Goodwin and my new Golden Boot will be Le Fondre. Also here's some more random predictions: Baena to be the flop of the season. EDIT: I was gonna say the Polish mid at the nix but no one expected him to be good. One of the new foreign imports will receive a lengthy ban. Nix and CCM to surprise many people. Victory will under perform. Aloisi to be the first coach sacked. More turmoil at WSW. Babbel will either be under severe pressure or want out. Sydney to get out of their group in the ACL. Jets to struggle badly in Asia due to their limited squad depth. Perth to have the best defence, WSW to have the worst. Sydney to have the best attack, Brisbane or the Nix to have the worst.

This is the hardest season I can remember to pick winners and losers. Nobody has been killing it in preseason and all scorelines have been close(even against NPL teams). SFC and MV look like they will be close to the top. PG,NJ,BR,AU,MC are all capable of finishing high up the ladder and also collapsing. AU should start well. But will probably steuggle with depth. BR is an unknown with a lot resting on Lopez to plug the midfield weaknesses. PG we have seen very little of,but have a balanced squad and Poppa should make them tougher to beat at home. MC ,i expect will control possession as well as any team ,but no Azani,so who knows. NJ..Still no Nabbout, but Jair and a defence pretty much the same as last year. CCM,WSW & WP. It would not surprise me if all performed above expectations.Which means you could add them to the middle 5. All of that means a lottery.Because i an sure MV and SFC will lose their fair share of games.
SFC MV PG NJ BR MC AU CCM WSW WP

I am gonna go bold and pick Sydney to falter.
1. Melbourne Victory 2. Melbourne City 3. Perth Glory 4. Adelaide United 5. Brisbane Roar 6. Sydney FC 7. Western Sydney Wanderers 8. Central Coast Mariners 9. Newcastle Jets 10. Wellington Phoenix
Pretty hard to call this year I think.

I did the top 4 and wooden spoon positions easily, but really struggled and chopped and changed from 5th to 9th before settling with this, which I'm still not confident about 😂

Nix still think my prediction is on target 4 games in. there are only 4 teams (Victory, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth) that can win the title from here. City is the best of the rest.

Wellington to finish top four and for everyone to love them only for the ffa to still kick them out

Nix well i got the top 4 right (albeit in the wrong order). and would have got the bottom 4 excactly right if i had slipped the Nix into the middle. not too shabby.

Well plebs I've tallied the predictions against the end-of-season standings and the winner is . . . . . . . ME!!! . . . . and femski. Both of us achieved the result of 4-10. However, seeing as femski is banned that leaves me lonesome upon the Iron Throne. I therefore demand moderator-ship as my prize. Three of you achieved the result of 0/10. Please look up the concept of euthanasia.
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

+x+xTop four in no particular order. Victory, City, Perth and Sydney FC. Sydney wont dominate every team again. 1-6 will be very close. Honda will be the best player by far. I'm still deciding if I think Honda will take the league seriously or not And now we know.

+x+x1. City 2. Sydney 3. Victory 4. Perth 5. Adelaide 6. Newcastle 7. CCM 8. Brisbane 9. WSW 10. Perth to have the best defence, WSW to have the worst. Sydney to have the best attack, Brisbane or the Nix to have the worst. Looking back at this I only got 2/10 positions correct, however I did predict that Sydney will win the Championship. Now to look at my other predictions... JW will be Goodwin: - Goodwin was amazing in some matches while completely anonymous in others but I think he would have made the top 10 at least. Golden Boot will be Le Fondre - Finished runner up with 16 goals Baena to be the flop of the season. EDIT: I was gonna say the Polish mid at the nix but no one expected him to be good. - Baena was solid while Kopczynski was solid at CB but terrible in his natural DM position. The biggest flop would have to be Mikkelsen or Ilso. One of the new foreign imports will receive a lengthy ban. - Correct, Ilso recieved a doping ban Nix and CCM to surprise many people. - They did. CCM managing to lead so many matches at half time and somehow managed to lose so many while the Nix were brilliant after their poor start. Victory will under perform. - They did. Aloisi to be the first coach sacked. - Wasn't sacked but the first coach to leave his post More turmoil at WSW. - Not really. Babbel will either be under severe pressure or want out. - He was at one point but then steadied the ship. Sydney to get out of their group in the ACL. - Lacked a bit of luck unfortunately. Jets to struggle badly in Asia due to their limited squad depth. - Correct, They were well beaten in Japan and failed to qualify for the group stages. Perth to have the best defence, WSW to have the worst. - Perth did have the best defence, WSW defence was awful but CCM and Roar somehow managed to be considerably worse. Sydney to have the best attack, Brisbane or the Nix to have the worst. - This one I got wrong. Sydney had the 4th best attack while the Nix had third best attack while Brisbane had the third worst.

It's probably almost late enough in the recruitment cycle that we can make some fair predictions. I will give it a go:
1 City 2 Victory 3 Perth 4 Adelaide 5 Sydney 6 WU 7 WSW 8 Roar 9 Jets 10 Nix 11 CCM
