MCG are predicting 20-25k for the Stars. They need to win to make the finals but they have been in dreadful form last few games.

On NZ Herald website this was posted about the nix victory game next Friday
'But this season's upsurge in form, inspired by new coach Mark Rudan, gives reasons for hope. Broadcast ratings and crowds are up — there should be close to 20,000 at Eden Park for the clash with Melbourne Victory on Friday, reflecting the increased interest in the team.'

25k at Aami Park on a Sunday is excellent. I might be a bit of a dinosaur but the atmosphere just ain’t the same as the ‘ol days’ :(

5pm during summer daylight savings is an excellent start time. Those 7pm ones are a bit late.
Spare a thought for the npl crew who have to accept 8.30pm starts in winter, including a few Monday night games.

25k at AAMI park is a huge crowd. Most of Victory's biggest ever crowds are at Marvell due to the huge capacity. AAMI sold out for the last Nix game with 20k attendance. Getting 25k means the vast majority of season ticket holders actually rocked up. Game was sold out by 4:30pm.

That being said, it wasn't great on Sunday. It only really got fired up when they gave the penalty decision, and then Georg turned around to rev the crowd up. Once they went 2-0 up it was back to being quiet.

+x25,071 Victory v Glory in the HAL Wow, who would have thought that when a big team hosts a big game that the league sees an attendance like that If only there was some restriction we could lift that would ensure those with the most resources and the most to invest would be able to consistently perform better...

When is everyone else going to pull their weight?
Victory are the only club in the country that can be relied upon for a crowd in excess of 20,000. Them aside, Sydney is the only other club consistently getting crowds above 10,000.
Enjoyable as it is to watch the Homebush Wanderers implode, it is pretty embarrassing how far they've fallen given all their previous talk of loyalty, and it isn't good for the league as a whole.
It's pretty hilarious that they've ended up where they are given all their previous talk of being Sydney's biggest club, let alone the country's.

Getting 25k means the vast majority of season ticket holders actually rocked up. The seat buy back doesn't work. i think the fact that there was clearer air also helped (TV ratings were up as well). +xWhen is everyone else going to pull their weight? WSW crowds are nothing short of disgraceful. if they pulled their weight, we'd surely be up on last year. on the other hand, sydney's crowds at Kogarah is a strong argument as to why all HAL clubs should be looking at boutique stadiums.

+x+xThere will be an initial boost but once the boredom of a closed system sets in, it will be down again. Promotion and Relegation will fix that. In the normal world it might, but Australia is FAR from the normal world in sport. Aussies are used to closed shop leagues in the winter professional sports. Nothing will change the mindset. There is not a chance MV will keep such a big support if relegated, they would be a touch above most in a second division, but nowhere near 6000. maybe this can help you all too live streaming yalla shoot tv
