+x+x+xSeason 1 average: 10,956 Season 14 average to date: 10,765 That's the issue here. The FFA has thrown away everything we achieved or tried to achieve in this whole time. Whether or not we beat last season's 4th lowest crowd average in history is simply a distraction. Jesus that is depressing reading. Imagine qualifying for the WC for the first time in thirty years and then in 15 years no one caring anymore. Not sure about you guys, but I think this is entirely because of the Phoenix.

Any time crowds look like improving FFA and security do their best to kill it off.
The derby game tonight should be getting 45-50k and would have many seasons ago given the strength of victory’s team. But no reason to go for the casual fan when the atmosphere has been destroyed

Not sure of the source anymore but Simon Hill and co was talking about it on the fox podcast after the match. The system was faulty or something. I mean it was quite clear from looking at the crowd that it was more than 13k.

+xNix v SFC - 5,115 (metrics) Well done FFA for allowing Wellington to shit on their own fans by playing a home game in Sydney. What a great fucking idea. This game easily would have got 8k in Wellington and anywhere else in New Zealand. Honestly these dumb fuck decisions make me sick.

It was a made because there was no stadium available in NZ and Campbelltown wanted A-League games so it made sense to go there. Were where the Sth West Sydney fans?.

How can you even defend this disgusting move by your club? I know you're not stupid enough to believe your whole country didn't have a stadium suitable to play in, so stop pretending to believe one of the worst lie a club has given it's fans. This move made zero sense and even worse only benefited the away club in every single way. There's a reason why this shit doesn't exists anywhere else but here.

+xWhy should SWS fans go to a match between two other teams? Exactly. And same thing with that bullshit CCM experiment in Canberra where for some fucked up unknown reason gallop and many other clueless people expected future Canberra fans to come out and prove they want their own club by going to watch two clubs play which they don't give a fuck about.

After round 20 and 100 games of the season, the A-League average attendance shows a little uptick from last year. http://eyeseedata.com/a-league-attendance/

Why do people say the football is steadily improving? What is this based on? What qualifies as development? If we use our comparison to the ACL we can see clearly that no meaningful development has been made.

+xalmost identical to the first year average So that means about 500k extra attending the A-League by the end of this season compared to the first season.

+x+xalmost identical to the first year average So that means about 500k extra attending the A-League by the end of this season compared to the first season. Thats not necessarily an indicator of more people attending, just a higher total Adelaide, Brisbane, Central Coast, Newcastle and Perth all posted a higher single game attendance in season 1 than in the current season
