Yeah well,  if you are going to base your argument on crowds,  then there it is.  The Barcelona of Australian football,  Oceania team of there century drew 5-8k.  We can never go back there,  you can come and join us but we aren't going back. 

I'm always happy to accept the official figures, and it's certainly possible to have 5k on the camera side, but the key point is that even if we accept that 5k was there, it's a woeful figure for a team looking to play finals.

That is a lot more impressive given the fact it was a semi pro league with less marketing and exposure.

Imagine they were in the HAL today. Would they attract more yes or no?

Newsflash the league has been shit for a while now, stop the delusion.  I still follow the franchise but if they disappeared like any franchise can do, I won't lose any sleep.

Well you are being very unrealistic then because there is no reason why they wouldn't with more exposure, and hype.

To attract the crowds they did back in the NSL was actually a marvelous feat.

The ffa botched Perth, remember when they wanted to celebrate their 10 yr anniversary and the ffa told them they are a new franchise with no past history? What did you expect lol.

I can vouch for that. Perth in the old days was more of a club - not a franchise.

With the inception of the HAL, the entire system changed and Perth was no longer a club but another Ronald McDonalds franchise with no connection to the old Perth Glory.

And now we see the results of this. Interest down, crowds down, ands just the same old plasticky plastic franchise model people can’t relate to as much.

Maybe he aspires for a better Aleague. Just because he supports the Aleague doesn't mean he doesn't want to see pro/rel. 

We can do better than what we currently are.
