+x+xThe crowd was a failure imo and it was a great match of football with good players playing but watching with my family it always goes back to how few seats there are Must be a fruitful discussion at a City game. Actually we’re in a final tonight pretty excited hopefully a better crowd

+xVictory v Wellington - 16,010 Thats 500 more than the elimination semi last season between Victory and Adelaide at AAMI. Adelaide see us as a rival, not so much the other way around. we just see Adelaide as a great away trip. However, i don't recall the corresponding home final last year being so low. just shows there is historical data that we don't turn up for these games. I'm scratching my head looking for an explanation.

Bit of a worry with Sydney, the fatigue of playing the same teams in finals every year becoming evident, but at least they have two extra days to sell tickets.

+xPerth Vs Adelaide 20k sydney VS victory 18k anything less is a failure Nib stadium / HBF Park capacity is 20,500 so I doubt 20,000. I'd be hoping 18,500 and that would be an amazing atmosphere.

Spot on. There will always be people who either bought tickets or were handed free tickets who end up not showing up so I wouldn't be expecting 20k either.

With a good GF attendance this seasons crowds will go within 5-10,000 of last years which hopefully means things have bottomed out now

+xWill the grand final sell out at Optus? Whats the feeling like in Perth? In the NSL days Glory got over 40k for at least one grand final, so you'd think we should crack 50k this time round.

The first 2 got 43k which was about capacity for subiaco. Lost both. The 3rd one which they finally won got 38k

+x2018-19 aggregate attendance 1,522,770 for an average of 10,877. Versus 1,529,606 the previous year and average of 10,926 Finals have never been included in the averages because different teams of different capacities partake and the format has always been inconsistent Next season also threatens to throw a spanner in the works for comparing season averages as the fixtures will be unbalanced and rigged to maximise attendances

They’re both statistics that’s all. And next seasons average can still be compared - the whole point of averages is to allow inconsistent things to be compared even though there are anomalies in there. Its hard to say what will happen to averages next season - we’re likely to get the same three derbies and big blues as we had this year, but will we lose a Victory v Adelaide or Roar v SFC/Victory which would typically attract higher crowds? I cant see next seasons average being higher than this seasons - it looks like we’ll have the same old shit going on, the convoluted draw isn’t popular with many fans, and it’s doubtful Western Utd will average higher than the season average

staying around the same level as the last two seasons is probably a good result

The FFA will make sure their debut home game is against the Victory, and they'll get another home game against them. WU might end up with 50,000 for thost two home game. After that, they only need to get 7,000 for the rest of their home games to break a 10,000 average attendance. They might achieve it.

Best chance of that would be if WU play Victory at home at docklands
