+x+x+x+x+x+x+xI think MVFC are a pretty good team. However they have only won the championship because VAR loves them (was it really not working in the final?) and FFA loves them (so much so they PAY for one of their players now). They are in reality about the same as Newcastle this year. Can anyone stop them or will the FFA funded team win more trophies because of VAR and FFA? Factually incorrect. Foxsports are paying part of Hondas wage not the FFA :P And he is worth every cent from Foxsports. Smart pickup from MV. I wonder how interested the other clubs were and what they offered to get Honda? Are MVFC any good ? Yeap - we the best. Most trophies, most championships. Best style. Best fans. Only Perth will test them this year. Melbourne Victory have always been favoured by the FFA. They get all good calls, scheduling and now, an extra player who the FFA are paying for. Unbelievable!!! Kevin Muscat isn't even a good coach. Ange, Arnold, Popovic even Merrick are much better tactically than Muscat could ever be. It's just the FFA favouritism that has made Muscat and Victory look good. Anyone who argues against this is deluded. Ask yourself, why hasn't any big clubs from overseas approached Muscat? Coz he's sh*te. Good scheduling? Gotta be joking. MV have had three Sunday fixtures including two of those dreaded 7pm Sunday timeslots...in the first 5 weeks! As already mentioned, FFA don't pay, it's Fox. Any of the 10 teams could've approached Honda, or any number of other players, for this sort of deal. It's ok to be jealous that we have the best import to ever grace the A-League, but you'd be better off enjoying his time here instead. Broich says hello. He can say hello all he likes - not fit enough to shine Honda's boots Can he shine the one Victory pay for ? (the left one)

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

If the biggest fish in a small pond couldn't manage that there'd be hell to pay
Especially as
1. MV are allowed to play 15 games at Home by the FFA, 2. Given players they can't afford by the FFA3. Given more 'home' games but pretend it's a Regional Round by the FFA However you want to rationalise it, Victory are still the best regular season team of all time. Can't argue with the facts.

A Franchise given so many headstarts by those nasty people in Sydney still only just managing to poke its head out is the fact. Chris Fong must top your Christmas card list

Are MV an good ? I think last night answered that question. One of the most dominant displays in A League history. Creative and in complete control. Watch the replay and count the errors MV players made. You will not get very high. Thanks RedKat for this great tread title. Think we can use it a lot this season.
Full trophy cabinet (but yours looks a bit empty) ! Reigning BACK2BACK 442 A League and World Cup (Mens and Womens) Tipping Champion - so yeap, I do know best !

However, they did it by grinding out a result, rotating fouls and with a fair bit of help from the refs and VAR. SFC did not play the same exciting football that MV are going to play this year.

Absolute horseshit. We won plenty of games by 2 or more goals. We scored 64 goals in 27 matches ffs. This is why I can't take you seriously. You just say things with no evidence whatsoever as though its fact.

btw pretty sure last season we dicked Wanderers 5-0 away from home including a 40 pass goal that was possibly the best goal of the season, but everybody conveniently forgot about.

I will happily go back and watch the replay. If they played with the same free flowing level that MV are playing with then I will stand corrected but you need to give me a example. An actual match not a general SFC were good. Be specific. Even when SFC were at there best they struggled to pull a crowd. Why? Because they did not play football like MV played last night. There is winning and there is winning with style.

You won that game but it was not done like the way MV played last night. From memory the shots were about even that night and WSW had a heap of possession. SFC just had a lot of help from the ref and got on top. It is not the same level of exciting team football.

Need to see a higher sampling of away games before I declare the season done, should have been 3 goals down at half time against the Jets and last week in Sydney was a grind out. I suspect last night won’t be the last time the Wanderers will be made to look like witches hats.
Sydney fc will probably need to pick up Fornaroli to really close in, and Perth will always have a chance with Poppa there, the rest are a waste of time, poor recruitment despite having the worlds longest off season.

I don't think MV are a shoe in to win the both the premiership and the championship. I do think they are going to play the best football we have ever seen in the A league. Ola and Honda with help from a back in form JT, plus TA and Raul will make for is a level of entertainment not yet seen in this league.

As long as Muscat is in charge it will never be the level of entertainment you want week in week out, you will get some showtime games against the scrubs like last night but I expect MV to win a heap of games primarily playing on the counter as well...which Muscat can afford to do cos he knows the other teams are toothless and 2-3 attacks from his own team will probably do (see last week and away game at jets)
Only team that’s ever played the same football home or away consistently was Brisbane under Ange.

Sydney FC 5-0 Wanderers, Sydney FC 4-0 Wanderers, Sydney FC 6-0 Perth Glory, Melbourne City 0-4 Sydney FC, Sydney 3-0 Adelaide, Sydney FC 4-1 Glory, Sydney FC 4-0 Adelaide over the last two seasons all say hi. But ill leave it as that I know youll say non were really dominant or entertaining and your sydney hate will shine through. Victory definitely look the real deal this season and Im sure youll twist this thread as questioning victory rather than mocking your silly thread

Give me the best example. I want to go watch it. I do not remember SFC every playing football that was really worth watching. Perhaps a replay will help. Pick the one that will make me go WOW - like MVs game last night. Just pick one. The best one.
