Well the content may be true or otherwise, but I reckon if the only announcement that comes out of the Board meeting is of this quality, then the word "bullshit" will express the general disbelief of the broad football community "that we are at last on the right track".

considering SEX has tried to merge with SWS it would appear they are out of the running. Thats why there seems to be all this momentum re canberra. If they stay at 12 teams, I'm now starting to fear for the WMG bid, which would be a disaster of epic proportions. hopefully common sense prevails and we go to 14 teams.

Not definitely. All they have said is they are having a meeting today to discuss expansion selections. That's it. They have not committed to making a decision today.

4 teams and a 26 week season with international breaks and say a 3 week final series ... so all up 34 weeks... given where we are not a bad outcome... hope it happens...

Also sets up an expansion to 16 teams within another two to three years  ....

Or even 13 teams (best sydney bid, best melbourne bid & canberra) with a 24 round season + finals, still 6 matches per week for foxtel, satisfies their criteria for extra tv deal money from sydney and melbourne teams coming in plus not turning away canberra's solid bid.

Would be stoked if Canberra get the nod. Also 3 clubs is a decent shout, gives a 4th another year to get a stadium built. Would be a ballsy move on the FFA's part but if the bids are ready to go...

I think we'll see the new clubs get an extra visa slot..or possibly even a league wide extra visa slot for one season only. I can't see the standard of football receding all that much really..the FFA cup has shown there are players waiting for an opportunity. Just hoping it doesn't get delayed again..

That would be 4 teams CCM could actually beat, at least for the first year or 2
